Music : House, Alternative Dance and Minimal Techno
This is a daytime event (e.g. starts late morning or early afternoon - see below for times).
I can remember sitting in Hyde Park nearly a year ago discussing a party of sorts with people very dear to me. Deciding were we wanted to be in a year’s time with this idea Tony Aggro and I had longed after for so long. Now the year has flown by and we find ourselves in a place that we would never have imagined we would be with Silly Sundays. Our dream couldn’t have fabricated into something so great without the support of the amazing crew that has given Silly Sundays the soul that is has.
It’s been a journey through giant snakes and ladders, 8ft Santa’s, indoor fireworks, Vegas and wererabbits! We’ve had grown men turn balloon breasted and women flaring over large snakes. The journey has also offered opportunities to meet some amazing people up for a crazy time!
Through a magical road of sillyness we’ve had the honour of watching the formation of the 50/50 Crew, the collaboration of Andrew Naude and Warbgasm and the establishment of Tony Aggro and Rudster as the AntiSocialSoundSystem.
We at Silly’s stand up and bow to all involved and all the people who have supported us over the past year selflessly creating sublime memories! To thank you we will be hosting a onederful birthday knee’s up at Inigo on Sunday the 1st July 2007, filled with beats of filth, phunked up to complete splendour!
The Laurel and Hardy of the music scene will be onedering past to debauch your eardrums with sounds only these boys now how to make! Having 2PhunkedUp back to celebrate our turning of one has got all down at the Sillys institute ready for some celebrations and jubilations!
These two have knocked the dance scene to the floor over the past couple of years with debut’s at The Fridge, Turnmills, The Key, The End, The Egg, Hidden; actually there aren’t many places these boys haven’t played and being two people not to sit back, they’ll be headlining in the baby box at Ministry next weekend. Though looking at what they’ve been up to recently makes me wonder if they ever sleep… have they discovered “sleep in a can”?
Their mix “Elek2ronik” has made IDJ’s Raw Talent, they have, as you’ve seen above, created the vibe for many a night, they hosted Elek2ronik Obsessions on Sound Republic online radio show, still host two regular promotions as well as throwing together the boat party of the century and have recently released “5 Night Round” a track that always gets screams from the dancefloor but the train don’t stop there folks… together with partner in crime, Jon Fynn, they have launched their record label Comfortably Numbed digital! The duo of daftness live for music and good times. This need for these two elements to engulf their life feeds kilowatts of radioactive energy to the dance floor that has your hands lifted up into the air by the static produced! This is one act you want to shape some one’s with, mucho’s times.
Adding to the mix will be Filth and Splendour. This is no foul matter I tell you because these boys, having witness them first hand, compose some mean artwork with their splendiferous musical pleasantries!
Together they have grown their filthy empire into a dominant feature in the clubs after just 7 months. With both halves bringing in well established talent as Oli Cassidy and Jame Trystan, the Filth and Splendour boys are already travelling as far a field as Spain, Dubai and Poland on tour with their successful club night, R U Dirty? Though having played alongside Tiefschwartz, Simian Mobile Disco and the Klaxxons; being snapped up by Maximal as residents for their Maximal and GetMaximal events as soon as their raw talent peeped through the surface; produced several tracks that have a collective total of 6197 listens on their myspace page already AND being booked in to the future as far as December IN JUST 7 MONTHS, should allow you to gain some sort of collage as to what these boys will be offering you at the onederful celebrations! It will be filthy-spanking-splendorous I tell you!
Of course the onederful celebrations would be nothing without the boys that have with out fail through the year worked hard to get the party off the ground, our beloved residents. Tony Aggro, Rudster and the 5050 Crew we owe you all the biggest silly embrace of thankfulness. Silly Sundays would have been a rather dull place without you so let your hair down and have one silly assed time boys because you deserve it! Thanks!

To commemorate the fandabbledozy memories through this whirl wind of a year there will also be pictures from the past pasted about to remind you of the day you looked around and thought, I’ll put this crown on, and maybe this feather boa, finishing off with a funny looking nose…no one is looking. Well, MAYBE no one was looking ;-) Please help yourself to one if you see yourself!!
