This is a daytime event (e.g. starts late morning or early afternoon - see below for times).

You’re skipping along with your new Jumbo colouring-in book and perfectly formed unused crayons in hand. You scout your kingdom for the most fitting perch to start your masterpiece of colours. You spot it, right in the middle of the lounge floor. The lavish space allows you to lay your colouring-in book down and spread out your forty eight strong crayon kaleidoscope. You turn the pages concentrating hard on each magically outlined drawing of elephants with balloons, clowns on monocycles, mushrooms with fairies and the one simple outline of a plane flying through big fluffy clouds. No more pages need to be turned. This is the page that you want to fill with a mass of colour to create your story. A story that only you understand - a story full of crayon wax and beauty. You smile for hours on end at your masterpiece of colour.

Turning pages and filling them with masterpieces of colour is something close to the heart of Silly Sundays on the 2nd September, with having to wave happy journey to one of our highly cherished resident clowns, Rudster. He will be jetting off to form a new outline in his life as he ventures back to his roots in South Africa. Even though he assures us this is temporary sketch in his mission to base himself permanently in the United Kingdom he will still be greatly missed as he’s been in the box from the first page of our colouring-in book.

Rudster picked up his first crayon, shaped oddly like a vinyl, to start creating his DJ spectacular about 5 years ago. He’s found himself colouring many pages at influential establishment in South Africa such as ESP, “Urban Dance Parties” which took place at Carfax, The Sound Factory and Submission as well as being a guest at Sideways Sessions. Doodling his sounds next to the likes of, Mr Brown, Maximillian, Sam Boylan, Rob Raddish and Anton Nathrass, Rudster sure drew his name into the South African dance scene.

Not crayontent with leaving his mark in one part of the world he landed in London a year ago to juxtapose his chunky, dark, driving underground mayhem of colourful sounds against the dusky skies of this city. He has certainly done this with gigs at Hidden, Inigo and the Comfortably Numbed Record label launch boat party as well as landing his well deserved residency at Silly Sundays. Rudster has shared line ups in London with, Azzido Da Bass, Micky Slim, Jon Gurd, Warbgasm, 2PhunkedUp, Dom Almond, and Filth and Splendour. His crayon saturated adulation for music and creating a party scribbles through to make you get down and dirty on the dance floor, leaving you smudged with pure hues, smiles and flawless pictures of fun.

To show their respects to their fellow clown the residents have marked the 2nd September 2007 as the day of the SS residents. Rudster’s usual partner in crime Tony Aggro and his fellow friends the 5050 Crew will be taking this moment to crosshatch the sounds to a close friends happy journey and bid him a successful mission in conquering a passport back so he can continue blending music next them.

Find your artistic side and come scribble a happy journey to Rudster on the dance floor on the 2nd September 2007, Inigo 2AM Bar, 642 Wandsworth Road, SW8 3JW (On bus routes 77, 77A, 137 and 156 buses from Clapham Junction or Wandsworth Road Station). To have these directions texted to you, please send your number to info@silly-sundays.co.uk with ‘Directions’ in the subject line. Remember to claim a free shooter in your colour of choice by sending us a crayon to info@silly-sundays.co.uk .

Is it still free to get in?? OF COURSE!!
