This Month:
Indigo Brown return to UKSoulJam as headline act. Since iB's last visit they have written the theme music for Gina Yashere's DVD, recorded their fourthcoming album with Jill Scott & Boyz ll Men producer Ronald 'Pnut' Frost in Atlanta USA, been asked to write a track for Mary J Blige & have toured the USA extensively. Last time they played UKSoulJam their was a distinct Beatle-mania type atmosphere from their fans singing along. Lifford as heard on Artful Dodger's hit single "Please Don't Turn Me On" makes his UKSoulJam debut bringing his smooth blend of contemporary Soul, Funk & R&B.
When Ann-Marie Lataille sang with the Organic collective a few months back she made a real impact & we had a lot of requests to bring her back on the show as an artist within her own right - so back by public demand she comes with her distinct brand of Nu UK Street Soul. Another popular act from our London circle is Suburban Base - they return to highlight another of their talented singers - Madame Pepper who makes her UKSoulJam debut with SB's distinct mix of Soul, Neo Soul & Nu Jazz.
Acoustic Soul flavoured UKSoulJam artists Louise Golbey & Raff also return this month.
Also making their debut are CramBJaz who bring their brand of Jazzfunk & Fusion & Cynthia Erivo with her brand of Nu Acoustic Soul to the UKSoulJam table.
We also have special guest DJ Funksy this month - no stranger to hosting events at Jazzcafe & recently involved with the release of iLLA J's new album produced by J Dilla. Funksy is a respected DJ from London's clubland & FM Radio.
Another varied, diverse & talented array of all live UK talent awaits you on this month's UKSoulJam.
