After a morning lugging gear across London to my new Hoxton abode I was well ready to get a nice cold beer down me and chillax for a while before getting my Saturday into full swing.

Landing at Camden's Lockside Lounge at 7ish to grab the end of Tamsin's sub-zero cool breaks set, the lack of sun seemed to have no bearing, with peeps still getting stuck into the fresh beers and delights of the BBQ... it's hard not to admire the resilience of our weather beaten nation.

The Balcony filled up and I was ready to dance as Mjoogoo and the gorgeous Fifties took to the decks for a back to back set of bouncy heavy bass lined breaks and electro-good show! Things then really heated up, when head honchos Richie Balboa. and Mini da Minx got going, drawing their faithful crowd to the dance floor within seconds of dropping their first tune. Reaching the crowd perfectly they whipped up an absolute storm, playing an energetic and eclectic set. Diverse with old skool classics and new underground sounds, they had something for everyone, things got rolling.

And things kept rolling

Next up Superstyle Deluxe..... I know Social have been trying to book this DJ for a long time, and I can certainly see why. Setting up his vinyl only system Superstyle cut and scratched his way through a prime set infused with Hip Hop and breaks, expertly blended and thoroughly enjoyed by the now throbbing dance floor.

Finishing off in true style, French demi-god Flore took us to conclusion with her unique DnB Vs. Breaks collision. Deep dark heavy bass lines under party smashing block rocking beats. Yup!....kept the pace nice and sweaty till the end. Lots of smiles, lots of fun and lots of new friends... all the while listening to music delivered by DJ's fully enjoying the show as much as anyone else.

Social and Chix in da mix really pulled this one out of the bag. Great Success!
