RIZE has built an unshakeable reputation as the finest funky electro house night in Croydon. Our infectious brand of fiercely uplifting funky electro house, incredible live percussion and brass always ensures a night of pure hedonism, glitz and glamour. After July’s rammed session at Loop RIZE is returning to the famed Croydon club for 2 huge parties in August 2007.

On SATURDAY 18TH AUGUST we bring you Swing City’s head honcho Grant Nelson. Grant Nelson is one of dance music’s proper legends. His remix of Negrocan’s ‘Cada Vez’ was a worldwide smash, topping the pop charts in several countries and selling nearly 2 million copies. He has remixed and
re-produced songs for a multitude of artists including Kelis, Frankie Knuckles, Artful Dodger, Juliet Roberts, Rosie Gaines, The Brand New Heavies and Jamiroquai just to mention a few. He was nominated as ‘Best House DJ’ at the 2004 Urban Music Awards. In 2005 he released his remix of
‘M-Gee and Mica Paris’ ‘Bodyswerve’ on his Swing City label which went on to a massive club anthem and most recently Grant's remix of 'Fade' by Solu Music feat. Joining Grant will be resident Steve Facey and a welcome return for (Jaded’s) Nicky Boy who will be warming up this amazing session. This promises to be a party of larger-than-life proportions. Arrive early.

Then if that wasn’t enough we bring you another RIZE on BANK HOLIDAY SUNDAY 26TH AUGUST. After absolutely rocking RIZE in May Mr Arkoss (Funkin You) headlines this event alongside resident Steve Facey and RIZE favourite James Browne (Passion FM). These well celebrated bank holiday sessions have become our trademark and are always sold out. This will be a full house. Arrive early.

As always we will bring you the very best live percussion and sax for both parties with Manos (Beats Devyne), Kevin Reynolds (Tru Do’s) and Vasha (Kinki Malinki). We will transform the venue with an incredible 6k sound system, lighting and exclusive luscious decor. The dress code is smart causal and trainers are allowed. No effort. No Entry. Strictly over 21’s. Admission for both events is £10 before 10pm to members and guests, £12 thereafter. ID is required by all guests. Remember we have an extended licence till 4am for both parties.
