On Friday 6th July 2007 @ The Mass in Brixton we are very please to announce that none other than Nu Energys very own Kevin Energy will playing an epic 2 hour set! We will be taking you on a journey through some of the most upfront harddance and freeform that you are ever likely to hear, anyone who has ever seen Kevin Energy play will know that this is not something you are going to want to miss!
As a DJ, Kevin is busier the ever before. In the Harddance scene his amazing technical skills and ability to offer something fresh has gained him a massive following of die hard fans that wait eagerly for his performances at all the big promotions. Kevin has graced almost every rave promotion in the UK and leave no corner of the world ‘un-rocked’ with his overly hectic tour schedule.
Kevin has an outstanding knack for reading a crowd and knowing exactly what to throw down to capture that special something without rinsing the obvious anthems. By always being innovating, always being unexpected and always being 100% on form, Kevin has secured his place in the rave history books and will continue to offer his skills for as long as the ravers are givin’ the energy back.
Fighting the corner fo the Nu-Breed we are very happy to welcome Mix Mag future hero and head honcho of Addiction Digital Olly Perris.
Olly Perris is a 22 year old hard house producer & DJ from Southampton, UK. During his short production career, Olly and his production partner Ashley Sinclair have achieved an incredible amount. Their debut single "The Venue" was produced entirely over the internet, setting the trend for other producers to follow. It was released on Nukleuz Blue in December 2002, and has gone on to sell almost 6,000 copies.
Olly's production career has flourished ever since this, having 6 other releases on Nukleuz, and a handful on Alphamagic Ltd with Alf Bamford, another young, upcoming hard house starlet. In total, Olly and Ashley have sold over 25,000 12"s and have appeared on some of the best known hard dance compilation series', such as 3 appearances on Hard House Anthems 4, 2 appearances on the Frantic Residents series and 1 on the Big Room Tunes CD.
Olly's DJing has recently taken off in 2004 and 2005, having been given the confidence from prior releases to push himself as a DJ. Olly holds a residency at London based hard dance promotion Addiction, and has secured gigs at some of London's most notorious venues including Club 414, Heaven, SEone and frequent appearances at the cult venue Southside Bar.
Warming up the proceedings we have BIG! resident Mark Hughes. Mark has been djing for over 15 years and has played at every event ranging from WildChild and Frantic to Tweak. His energetic style has won him fans up and down the country and he nevers fails to fill a dancefloor!
The Vinyl Destination residents will of course also be out in force once again. Hoopz has now secured himself as one of the fastest rising stars on the London Hard Dance scene with his first track with K-Complex being signed to the Nu Energy label and his planned set on the Contagious Sound Stage at Global Gathering and his infamous last hour sets at Destination he really is one to watch.
Vinyl Destinations 1st Lady NAE will also be on hand to deliver some of the finest bounciest hard house you will ever get the chance to hear! Her pure passion for the music and fast paced energetic sets have made her a firm favourite with the Vinyl Destination regulars and newcomers alike.
Fresh from their outstanding hard trance classics set at Vinyl Destination 3 Double D are once again trawling through the record shops of the world to find the newest and freshest hard trance anywhere. Having played b2b for over 5 years now they have an unmatchable ability to read each other and their technical skills are seconed to none!
Jamis and Smythe have been on an express train to success since their first booking for Vinyl Destination back in November 2006 they have been booked non stop and have played at events up and down the country including Fruit Club, Hardcore Revolution and the Hardcore Weekender. They now boast residencies for both Rush and Reproduction aswel as Vinyl Destination.
