Ok, its a long one but please have a read....

Mat and I just wanted to say an enormous thank you to everyone who came to the Tony De Vit memorial night we hosted last night, having read the comments so far across so many different forums we've been blown away.

The lead up to this event has been an incredible one. I never knew Tony, I never heard him play but there is not one person I know in the scene that he hasn't touched in one way or another, we've all stomped to his tracks and he has been an inspiration to many people to become DJs and producers, and there was one person that this event meant more to than most other people - Mat, the other half of Glow Ball. Some of you may have read his comments in the review but if you haven’t please take the time to read them (linky).

Whilst I never knew Tony over the last few months I feel like I have got to know him and really wish I had been able to meet him, through spending time with his family and friends so that we could lay on the most fitting tribute and celebration we could. There were so many people that we would like to have seen feature at the night but decided to invite those he was friend to and often would play alongside through to those he inspired to become DJs and the nu-breed that would carry his music forward for years to come.

Last night was all in aid of charities chosen by Ray De Vit and ourselves and thank you all for raising a substantial amount for them, we're still adding up the total amount but we anticipate it to be a good few thousand pounds!!! So a massive thank you to you!

Thank you firstly and foremost to Ray De Vit for giving us the honour to host this very special event and let London say its official farewell to Tony, you hopefully all would have seen Ray on the night who travelled a long way to celebrate his sons life with us all and is one of the most inspirational, caring, funny and just completely lovable person I have ever met - Ray, if you read this - you haven't seen the last of us and get the adoption papers sorted - you have a new grand daughter!!

Thank you also to all the DJs who played at the night and for playing for a lot less than what you would normally, every single one of you played your socks off and had the place jumping all night long.

Thank you to the performers who donated their fee's completely to the night, the Sugah Dee Team looked amazing all night as always and your help and support is always more than we could ever imagine. Thank you also to the poi spinners from mind spin and Nemo for face painting.

Thank you also to Mass for allowing us back again - Lisa, Barry, Mick - all of you are a pleasure to work with and we are looking forward to the next time, thank you also to Club Tec, Stinky Fish (the people behind the glow stall) and the live VJ team that provided the visuals.

Thank you to Cyber Dog for letting us cause havoc in the store on the day of the event and continuing to support us on this cyber adventure and a massive thank you to Adjamiba Club Wear who supplied the fluffies we were giving away through out the night, made my outfit and all the Sugah Dee's outfits.

Thank you to all the other club promotions that have helped us in raising awareness of the night too: Summit, Vinyl Destination, RainDance, Hard Dance Awards and Freeformation in particular who you would have received an email from. And a big thank you to some very special people that have been there for us since we got in to all this and we wouldn't be able to do it without you and love you guys to pieces; Pat, Warren, Nina, Jo, Stevie, Tasha, Aaron, Cat, Sam, Gordy and Craig xxx

And on a personal note - thanks Mat - its always a rollercoaster but one I know I couldn't do without you

What a night!!! loved every minute!

Yep i agree with everything above, the night was amazing from beginning to end. Your promotional ethos is one every promoter should be taking a notes from because clubbin is about the clubbers, simple!!!!! Every dj played out of their skin and kept the energy building throughout the night, and it was a real pleasure to of performed our live show for you guys. Thanks to everyone for their amazing comments and compliments on the night.

Aye, it totally rocked it throughout the night! Was a pleasure to have a chat with Ray De Vit during the night as well. As Del said cheers to all who came to see the PA and for all the comments after we finished as well, really made what was already a fantastic night.

Kris, Mat, Gordy, Cat I know better than most how much work you put into this and it really did pay off. Keep doing it ;-)

Haha, yeah. You ok now hun? Must admit had a few sketchy moments. Was a brilliant night though. Am still stiff from all that stomping nearly a week later. Congrats to Kris and Mat and everyone else. If there's a Glow Ball on at Xmas/New Year I'll be there bouncing. :D
