******** THE JAPANESE POPSTARS ********
* DJ Mag award winners for Best Breakthrough Producers - Best of British Awards *
* Won Best Live Performance at the N.Ireland Dance Music Awards 2007 *
* Shortlisted for Best House DJs at the World Urban Music Awards 2006 *
The Japanese Popstars started out as a drunken idea sitting in a field of a major festival. A combination of artists who have had number ones in Australian and American charts, played Glastonbury, Homelands, had a strew of releases, remixes, major radio support and even 3 tours of Australia. The lads have now headlined at some of the worlds largest clubs, are residents in two clubs in Ireland and one in Ibiza, been asked to remix Justin Timberlake and have even been in shortlisted for both Best House DJs at the world Urban Music Awards 2006.
"Currently Causing A Stir In The World Of Electro" Mixmag, October 2006.
"Rodney Trotter" was the first release to be slot into a hectic schedule of gigs and remixes, being released in April 07 and gaining the support of Pete Tong, Deepgroove, Eddy Temple-Morris, Paul Woolford, 2ManyDJs, Steve Lamacq and Fergie! Remixes came from Rui Da Silva, Lief and Paul Jackson himself and the track has been licensed to a few compilations including the "Cat Walk Sessions Vol.2" and "It's Only A Mixtape! Vol 2", which includes their next single also.
"By Far The Hottest Thing To Leave Irish Shores In Modern Times!!" Our House Magazine, June 2007.
Now off the back of two of their tracks being included on Vol 2 of "It's Only A Mixtape!" they have been asked to compile and mix one of the series themselves! They are currently putting together upfront tracks and releases for this compilation, which will see full release later this year on Ministry Of Sound. The tracklisting will contain tracks that are reflective of their award nominated DJ sets and a few unreleased dancefloor bombs from some of the top producers in the scene and possibly one or two of their own tunes.
"One Of The Hottest Electro Acts To Come Out Of Ireland Recently" Electric Circus, May 2006.
"Irelands Premier Electro Act" Steve Lamacq, BBC Radio 1 - 15th May 2006.
Major heads in the industry have tipped The Japanese Popstars as the ones to watch. They have literally appeared out of nowhere. The amount of giant leaps that they have taken in the dance music industry is an accolade in itself and even dance magazine Mixmag have labelled them as the ones to keep an eye on.
"The Japanese Popstars are F***ing deadly. The End. I need say no more." Connected Magazine - August 2006.

******** LOOSE CANNONS (KISS 100) ********
* Sony Radio Award Winners *
From the casino rooftops of Vegas to the New Year’s crowds of the Australian Festivals The Loose Cannons have come a long, long way from their humble beginnings in a bedsit in South London, and are one of the most critically, media and industry acclaimed Artists, DJ/Producers and Radio Broadcasters of their generation. On a GLOBAL scale.
2005 saw Lord Fader (beats & effects) & Kaiser Saucy (vocals & affectations) begin their ongoing love affair with the rest of the world. Their global assault started first as DJs then later in many countries as a full live band, still without even releasing a record in those territories. Clubs were obliterated, Festival crowds exhilarated, even Technics occasionally damaged slightly (still unconfirmed) wherever the boys played. From Sydney to Perth in Australia, through Asia, the Middle East, Europe and the USA; everyone who has witnessed The Loose Cannons’ unabashed rock-show antics on stage has been unanimous & effusive in their praise, to the extent that The Loose Cannons were flown over specifically to perform at the Australian equivalent of the Grammy’s: The Arias.
Amongst all of the mayhem, they even managed not one but TWO top 5 hits in South Africa with ‘Why You’ and ‘Girls in Hats’ - singles taken from their second album MUY FUERTE which debuted in the summer of 2006, having taken form from their Australian tour demos. The powerful, exhilarating record was released simultaneously in Australia (Ministry of Sound Recordings) & in the UK (Fat Fox Records). Yet again, praise was effusive & ubiquitous: ALBUM OF THE WEEK in DJ Mag, describing the band as “UNEQUALLED”, & M8 said the record had “MORE HOOKS THAN A FISHING ROD SANDWICH”.
Plaudits like these, along with their original material and image being used in campaigns for multinational corporations such as TDK, Nokia, Bacardi & Red Bull, has cemented their global status as genuine talent with real musical creativity who can deliver to any audience, anywhere.
In the UK, world-famous dance music radio station Kiss 100 spotted Fader & Sauce’s natural charisma & signed them up to do their own weekly show without any previous broadcasting experience. The show went on to win a Specialist Award at the prestigious Sony Radio Awards in it’s 1st year on air and has subsequently tripled it’s audience share. They are now tastemakers the industry and public look to for new music. Their guest list reads like a who’s who of superhot, cutting edge Nu-skool, mixed with a hefty ‘thwack’ of heavy-hitters flexing their Cred-credentials: MSTRKRFT, Switch, Groove Armada, M.I.A., Timo Maas, Freestylers, CSS, Alex Gopher, Speakerjunk, Tom Middleton, Jamie Lidell, Lady Sovereign to name a very few, & their keen ear for the Underground have led them to be the first to discover & champion many new artists, including Kissy Sell Out, Space Cowboy, Boy-8 Bit, Does it Offend You… and many more.
