LOUIE VEGA @ MINISTRY OF SOUND 18TH AUGUST

In a scene where dark and moody electro dominates the dance floors of the UK and far away, it’s always a pleasure to feel a little warmth, light and soul through the cracks and that’s exactly what Soul Heaven promises on Saturday the 18th August when they return to Ministry for another of their spectacular parties headlined by the legendary Louie Vega.

Soul Heaven’s fruitful and long running relationship with Ministry has witnessed some of the greatest parties thrown in our hallowed halls, with many of the world’s finest DJs gracing the 1’s and 2’s over the years for Soul Heaven - but one DJ truly reflects the vibe and spirit of SH, one of the most cherished and respected DJs in the world, a true icon and son of New York City, to many the greatest, Little Louie Vega.

To see Louie in the main room is an experience, a joy and a pleasure, and that’s all that needs to be said. Joining him will be Nina Rodriguez, and Luisito Quintero. To compliment the King of New York on hand in the Bar is of course Soul Heaven’s beloved residents Phil Asher, Neil Pierce and Andy Ward. The Baby Box is all about Soulheaven Sectrets with Clemy Riley and Chris Samba, and upstairs in the Lounge Bar its Soul Phusion with Paul Baines, Ashley Roberts, Chris Brabook, Lee Clarke, Terry Bedeau & Carlo.

Basically its all love!

I am not a happy bunny at all. I think Ministry of Sound should get knocked on the head, and people should stop holding funky house raves or any type of rave there. Until they fix up!

( I am using people's colour as a description cause I dont know their names sorry)
DJ Sy-Sey put me and my friends on the concession list for Saturday just gone, and when we got there, we apparently weren't on the list. The blonde girl with the guestlist had no fucking manners and that bloody white man who stands with her. She didn't even look on the list, cause I know we were on there, and she was just plain rude, even when we offered to play the full price.

The bouncers at Ministry are something else, especially that black Dread man and that Indian one, rude does not describe how disgusting they can treat you at times, even though we have been raving Ministry since Jungle AWOL days on a Thursday night, and even though we are females, just because they think they can. I know if we had been with a group of guys, those bouncers would have never had the balls to treat us 4 females like that. I can fully understand how bouncers get stabbed. Not condowning stabbing people at all, but the anger I felt on Saturday was not good. Trust Me!

Ministry of sound was totally shit on Saturday, a complete waste of money! And just to top the night off as usual, the drinks are too fucking expensive. Its just ridiculous! They need to recognise that they are in shitty Elephant and Castle, Sorry if you live there, no disrespect. But its not the West End!

Sorry for the rant, but I was had my first shit night out for agesand I resent that. I don't appreciate wasting money for some skanky girl to be rude to us, when we were quite willing to pay. We aint short of money, we go out every fucking week, its minor! And I swear if I see that Indian bouncer again I would not be responsible for my actions, he thought he could treat people like shit , just cause you got the power to spoil someone's night or not let them in. I am so appalled by the way we were treated on Sat at Ministry and it was a fucking shit night!

Please promoters of Release Owen Money, Boochie, get a new venue please!
Ministry has got way toooo big for their boots and need to recognise that they are not the only, nor the best club to go anymore, they may have been back in the day, but not anymore.

Change your staff, prices, and your shitty security, if you can call them that, with the fucking attitude problems- Ministry. Its long and cannot be justified, not when there are better clubs out there with better vibes.
