The Vinyl Touch touches down at Epidemik

The Vinyl Touch is one of London's longest-running breakbeat events, launched in a small north London bar in 1999 by (the very good looking) Mr Swifty B. Just five years later with the help and passion of TVT's extremely hard working team of (not so good looking) creative individuals The Vinyl Touch parties gained masses of talk on the street resulting in attracting thousands of people from all over the world.

The Vinyl Touch kicked off with a desire to play and provide nu skool breaks and 21st-century breakbeat. As The Vinyl Touch grew, it took on more music policies including all the stuff we know and love to party to: drum & bass, house, old skool hardcore, and hip hop.

The club night has appeared all over the UK – from residencies in WKD (Camden), Think Tank (Leeds) and Electrowerkz (Angel, London) to events at Ministry of Sound (London), The Arches (London) and Ikon & Diva (Southampton). The Vinyl Touch has also hosted rooms at Bagleys (now Canvas, Kings Cross, London), Camden Palace (now Koko, London) – and to spread the Vinyl Touch sound that little bit further, there's big collaborations in Krakow, Gdynia and Sopot (Poland).

Over the years The Vinyl Touch has treated its ravers to artists such as Ellis Dee, Ratpack, Shut Up & Dance, Atomic Hooligan, Aquasky, Niki Dimensions, Ed209, Billy Bunter, Matt Cantor (Freestylers), Nicky Blackmarket, Phantasy plus many many more.

Vinyl Touch Records made its first nu skool breaks release in May 2006, and continued to put out tracks by Swifty B, Joe Rapid, The Magnet Men, and Bruno Lawton with forthcoming releases by guest artists.

The Record Label

The Vinyl Touch Records was launched in May 2006 with four artists on its roster:The Nu Phaze, The Magnet Men, Joe Rapid and LOFI Rebel
Remixes are set to come by Ratpack and Ellis Dee.

The label kicked off with a track that is the essence of Vinyl Touch nights, showing off its jump-up, tearout, nu-skool breakbeat sound.

Later releases aim to allow the artists to explore more avenues of breaks and beats.

This isnt the first time that Vinyl Touch have joined forces with Epidemik...They collaborated a few years ago in 2004 at Electrowerks for a Mid Summers Night Dream
