THE GALLERY Friday 13th June: Line up announced
Reminisce will be back at the Gallery supporting them on another massive night. Headlining the main room...

Mauro Picotto

Dance legend Mauro Picotto was the first DJ from Italy to reach super-stardom and has since over the years rocked dance floors every corner of the globe. His brand Meganite has firmly set its foundations at Ibiza super club Privilege and has taken flight across Europe and beyond.

As a producer/DJ Mauro has proved himself to be in the top rankings year after year. For those who remember the hits by Cappella, 49ers and Club House, yes, Mauro under his alias RAF was the man behind the buttons. As the late 90s approached, Mauro was firmly setting his name as one of the world’s leading trance names releasing the anthemic ‘Lizard’. This rocked crowds across the UK, Ibiza and far and wide, and was followed up with more big track’s including ‘Komodo’, ‘Iguana’, ‘Proximus’ ‘Back To Cali’, ’Pulsar’, ’Like This Like That’ and the awesome ‘I Feel Love’ under the name CRW. He was also responsible for countless remixes of chart tracks, including the massive ‘New Year’s Dub’ from U2 vs. Musique.

After serving years at a trance club spinner, Mauro took his sound down a more techno influenced route. His sets are pure pumping peak time thrillers, always taking the clubber on a musical journey. Fans of Mauro Picotto can reminisce on his classic sounds and enjoy his new work with his album ‘Now & Then’ out now at play.com

One thing Mauro is very well known for is his ‘wardrobe’ of different coloured headphones!!! Ayone know where you can get a pair let me know! :o)

Joining Mauro in the main room...

Trance connoisseur

MARCEL WOODS

Hailed from the Netherlands, Marcel Woods has proved to be one of the world’s top flight Djs and producers. Over the past few years, he has provided the trance scene with some of the biggest anthemia releases and remixes that rock dance floors worldwide.

Marcel is a regular at massive dance festivals such as Sensation Black, Defqon4, Dance Valley and Trance Energy. Never one to stick to generic boundries, you can always be certain that Marcel’s sounds sound fresh every time and always deliver full impact when dropped in front of thousands of ravers.

If you regularly tune in to Jules on Radio One, you will be familiar to Marcel’s tracks, ‘Monotone’, ‘Advanced’ ‘Cherry Blossom’, ‘Beautiful Mind’ ‘Accelerate’ and last years huge Crasher anthem ‘Lemon Tree’. One of my favourites of Marcel's on High Contrast is his stomping remix of classic ‘Greece 2000’ from Three Drives. His new track I’ve played on Ascension, ‘On Fire’(featuring MC Da Silva) is highly recommended and out now on djdownload.com

Adding to the night in the house arena, jackin it up on his unique tech house tip, globe trotting house legend...

YOUSEF

Bitten by the acid house bug at legendary rave metropolis 'Shelly's' in 1991 after watching some of the first live sets from Carl Cox and Prodigy, Yousef has, since then, grabbed the global industry by the scruff of the neck, forcing his way in through sheer talent and determination. Residencies at Ministry Of Sound, Renaissance and most notably Cream, cemented the scouse empire with a love of house at a point where trance began to rule club land. Next up, conquering the UK this began by taking his infallible understanding of house to Basics, Pressure, Shindig and every other top UK club. Planet Earth followed, skipping across continents with the same glee as the snapping beats in the music he played. Booked in the world?s best clubs on a regular basis, Yousef quickly became synonymous as one of dance music's global figures, a position he still holds to great acclaim.

Relentlessly playing worldwide has given Yousef a mature & broad musical taste, twisting electronica with house, vocals with techno. Yousef stays current without jumping on bandwagons, his finger on the pulse without wavering to trends. This keen ear for what works on the floor has translated in the studio gaining acclaim for remixes and releases on a slew of rave emporiums like Skint, Slip N Slide, Junior Boys own, CR2, Sony, Peppermint Jam, Underwater and Denmark's Okyo remixing Fatboy Slim and Jamiroquai among many others along the way.

Taking a step back from his wild days ("Now I'm more interested in running than raving") has meant his studio time has been even more productive. Remaking Carl Cox?s classic monster 'I want you' (signed to cr2), There is the self penned and sung "My Own Best Myself", a track complete with a furious techno edit that became the aforementioned Cox's secret weapon. "The priority for me is to continue making hot records", Yousef nods. "People who are playing what I'm into are Nic Fanciulli, Steve Lawler, Laurent Garnier, Paul Woolford and Deep Dish people who have also heavily supported my own music.

So what does lie ahead for Yousef..? More and more original productions (4 more singles in the next 6 months), remixes ensuring his electronic manifesto leaves it?s footprints in dance music's soundscape. His own imprint Carioca continues to grow with his own releases earmarked while bringing light to a stunning set of underground producers bubbling intermittently under the radar. The dj touring relentlessly continues, Yousef's signature sound all the best forms of house, techno and electronica, his innate understanding of soundtracking continues to devastate dance floors worldwide.
