The ‘Fire it Up’ merchant from the North prepares to take over The Gallery command centre for his first outing at Ministry of Sound on Friday 9th May when Eddie Halliwell caps off yet another massive Gallery line-up with his inevitable style and flair. With his hugely popular Radio 1 show, a Cream/Ibiza residency and accompanying mix compilations, Goodgreef and Fire It Up residencies, as well as his huge energy and ability to turn a simple mixer into a full musical production machine... Eddie Halliwell really is the real deal!! Now firmly established as one of the leaders he still remains one of the few to have got so far by being simply a DJ. Not one for the studio, Eddie has carved out his position in dance music by the very sets he plays and with this has won a legion of fans in the process. Recognised by Radio 1 for this very fact and his broad, far reaching musical appreciation, his Radio 1 show has become one of the most listened to on the station and Eddie continues to headline festivals and events worldwide.
Gallery’s favourite son, Sander van Doorn is back to complete one hell of a double bill. For Sander The Gallery is the place where it all began, and it’s his only UK residency, which has seen him become one of our most loved DJs as well as having last April renamed Sander month resulting in him playing every week for an entire month! It’s a place he calls home in the UK and with his sets becoming stuff of legends; and it was more than apt that his album ‘Supernaturalistic’ was launched in February 2008 with The Gallery. Fresh from touring his album to critical acclaim and gaining some impressive air miles; Sander is sure to get things all in a twist with that amazing Ministry of Sound system and his chugging, techy, edgy productions just perfect for a good sonic bashing in that main room, bring it on!!! Eastern European talent Lucca is back, having impressed us hugely on her previous visits to The Gallery. The lady with the Acapulco label has been non-stop of late notching up some serious Europe wide airplay with track ‘Body Dance’. Appearances as far afield as Brazil to Poland, Chile to Austria prove that we are not alone in our admiration. A hotly tipped talent by the likes of Carl Cox, Lucca’s slightly tougher take on things will tee it up nicely for Mr Doorn and Halliwell. Johnny Arthur has had quite a few years from his early days in London town to his residency at Chicken Nickers and the recent cover mount mix CD for DJ Mag he brings with him his unique brand of no nonsense, intelligent techno edged music to the warm up. A true sonic education, books out, prepare to take some notes!
John ‘Quivver’ Graham aka Quivver, Space Manoeuvres, Stoneproof, Skanna, and Tilt needs little introduction. His productions have been a staple of the world’s leading DJs for over a decade. A leading producer, DJ, and vocalist, John’s performed at clubs and events ranging from Glastonbury, Live 8 (in front of 300,000 people with Planet Funk), and the Olympics through to Glade, Ultra, Extrema and Pacha, Ibiza. Now based in the USA we are proud to be hosting the launch date for his forthcoming album ‘Dirty Nails and Paper Trails’ under his DJ name of John ‘Quivver’ Graham. Not content with one album launch in the bar we are delighted to be hosting the launch of Anthony Pappa’s new album ‘Moments’. The original Pacha resident and legend that is will be getting his moves on for sure and provides the perfect complement to Quivver in what is yet another stonking line-up for the Bar. Ibeefa legend, Pete Gooding completes the line-up with party starters Prehab hosting the Baby Box.
