This Fri - Gallery pres Judgement Sunday - we chat to the main players!!! By thegallery-tom - Thu 29 May 2008 - 0 comments
Music : House, Trance and Techno
The Gallery Friday 30th April 22:30 - 06:30 Box: Judge Jules Randy Katana Matt Hardwick Simon Patterson Gavyn Mytchel Bar: Tall Paul Mutiny Baby Box: Hosted by Mass Recordings Judgement Sundays is well known for rocking the legendary Eden club every week on the white isle and following last season’s fifteen-record-breaking-parties which saw them pack out Eden at a level never witnessed before, 2008 is set to be their biggest and best year yet. So to help get them on their way to go bonkers in the Balearics, Jules got on the dog and bone and invited a hand-picked selection of his finest guests from the season to come over to London and we’re going to dry run the Judgement Sunday party with a little help from us here at The Gallery on Friday 30th May in the more cooler tropics that is Elephant and Castle and Ministry of Sound. Do not fear whilst the sun may not be as hot, the line-up and what’s on offer is as hot as it gets with the main man, one might be as bold as to say the master of ceremonies Mr Judge Jules will be leading by example at the front of the proceedings getting the Ibiza party started as he leads a headlong charge of DJ talent from the Judgement pool of talent. Randy Katana has provided us with a wealth of the techier end of trance from productions such as ‘Pleasure Island’ to ‘Fancy Fair’ to ‘In Silence’ his full on, techier style has made him a firm favourite the world over from DJing to production work. A popular figure at The Gallery already and one of Jules chosen few he is the perfect bridge musically between the trancer and downright banging/techier DJs represented, and with his ability to have a good time anywhere it promises to be one of those nights!!! Gatecrasher resident and worldwide trance star Matt Hardwick is a welcome guest to the proceedings. A constant feature in the DJ Mag Top 100, Matt has carved out a reputation for being one of the most credible trance DJs around, whilst rocking dancefloors from Australia to Dubai and still maintains one of the loyalist UK fan bases around. Listen out for a raft of new productions fresh from the studio and some major tune road testing ahead of the Ibiza kick off!! Simon Patterson, one half of Dogzilla and one time Serious and Judgement Sundays resident has had a busy time of late touring not only with the Dogzilla live show project last year but also seeing solo productions such as Bulldozer cement his reputation as a DJ and producer to rival the very best. Now a firm fixture at the biggest clubs around the globe and with a release schedule destined to further his reputation, this a chance to catch him while you can!! Gallery resident Gavyn Mytchel gets it all going early doors in only the way he can. The Bar sees Gallery head honcho Tall Paul return to end the month as he started it almost with another extended set to get things going. All 6ft 6inches of the man will be giving it some in his enviable style and is joined by house production and dj duo Mutiny. Rob and Dylan have long been Gallery favourites and this is a great opportunity to break them and the Ministry in gently to what will be yet another raucous and wild night (and that’s just the music!!) Over in the Baby Box, Mass Recordings get down to business.
