Its that time of year again - get ready for crazy carnival madness! The biggest in Europe, Notting Hill Carnival has been running every year since 1964. Its a huge collection of sound sytems scattered around the Ladbroke gove / Notting Hill area and is attended by over a MILLION people. Thousands dress up in tradational carribean costumes and parade down the streets in the wakes of the loudest, most pumping soundsystem lorry's you've ever heard. There are BBQ's cooking jerk chicken are stationed on every corner, Rasta's run around smoking blunts and everyone who lives in the area opens their doors to the public to invite them to inside for a house party.. In short its insanly fun fun fun.
