Gregory Ferguson (JUPITER ACE) is the most exciting dance producer to come out of Ireland in years. Better known as Jupiter Ace, the 26 year old has spent the last 5 years honing his studio skills to develop a fresh and distinctive house music sound.
The most recent Jupiter Ace productions have seen him turn the heads of all those who know their dance music.
Since the worldwide success of 1000 Years, a big, funky house tune with an unforgettable vocal, Jupiter has been busy remixing for Ministry, Polydor, Positiva, Fatboy Slim, Sony/BMG, Southern Fried, Skint and Azuli to name a few. In addition he has been very busy in the studio working on a hotly anticipated album project to be revealed later this year.
Gregory has been recently whipping up a storm under his "Nu Electric” moniker with the massive No Matter What recently hitting No 3 in the Buzz Chart with play from many of the biggest names in the house scene. This is a big house anthem that will see wall to wall arms in any party!
Gregory began producing as Jupiter Ace in 1999 and quickly became known as "Northern Ireland's best kept secret" (NME). His reputation as a gifted producer and DJ rapidly spread and he soon found himself performing with Utah Saints in U2's famous Kitchen club, leading to a nomination for "Best Newcomer" at the Planet Love Awards 2001. To showcase his productions, Gregory set up FI Recordings with fellow Irishman Gareth Kane. The result was a collection of dancefloor bombs combining cutting edge production with floorfilling tunes, with support from Lottie to Soulwax.
The new Jupiter Ace remix of You Know by hot act Super Jupiter is currently exploding across dancefloors everywhere. His remix has been met with unanimous praise from tastemaker DJs and its blend of big synths and monster guitar riffs is proving a massive hit with clubbers!
Jupiter Ace's rising status as one of the new talents of dance music led to high profile remixes for Moloko, Dannii Minogue and The Dub Pistols. More recently, he has remixed Positiva’s massive hit ‘Roc Ya Body’ by MVP, Polydor’s new band Performance’s release ‘Surrender’ and Fatboy Slim’s ‘El Bebe Masoquista’ on Skint.
As a DJ, Jupiter Ace can get the toughest audiences screaming for more. Using his considerable studio skills, he creates his own remixes and bootlegs for his DJ sets, with everything from R&B, hip-hop and even pop, cut, twisted and layered over a funky, bassline driven house groove.
Jupiter keeps his audience glued to the dancefloor, combining these exclusive tracks with an enthralling blend of funky and filtered house with flavours of electro, techno and trance. He frequently stuns audiences with his DJ skills at clubs including, The Cross, Pacha, Ministry, Godskitchen, The Egg, Lush and many more. DJ highlights in the past month alone include Wakestock, Peppermint Club, Dubai and making his debut at Pacha in Spain for house giants Azuli.
As one of the brightest rising stars of dance music, Jupiter Ace continues to impress the dance music elite and mainstream audiences in equal measures, combining studio wizardry with massive radio-friendly tunes and the coolest of underground sounds. The immense talent of this "one man planet of sound" (NME) is now being recognised by the major league dance labels and the stage is set for Jupiter Ace to take over planet earth!
