As usuall arriving to pacha i was expecting good funn and Glitterati didn't disapoint me. from the very begining Dj's serve us top shelf electro-house build up atmosphere to the end of night. Looking forward to next Glitterati.

Glitterati Pacha 18th April 2008
What a load of rubbish, I've been to Pacha four times now over the past couple of years and it has been rocking every time. Last Friday was a real washout, the top floor closed before midnight as there weren't enough punters. Unfortunately the two lads up there played the best tunes we heard all night. Forced downstairs we started to try to get into the weird mix of new progressive house intertwined with remixes of old skool british house ( and I'm sure there were two Eurythmics remixes within 30 minutes).
Then came the coup de gras, two jokers got behind the decks and played speed garage of the type that can be heard coming from a 17yr olds Nova on any high street in the South East. They were enjoying themselves far more than the crowd was which is always bad - they were so out of touch. The only people dancing were a few Eastern Europeans and the lager boys so whilst one of us called the taxi to bring it forward we complained to the promoter. I will not be taking him up on his offer for free admission next time but he was a nice bloke and agreed with us and gave us some free drinks.
Don't avoid the club but avoid Glitterati until they wake up and stop being so arrogant - ignore the customers and you'll not last long.

Interesting you say that, I was one of the 'two lads' djing upstairs, and I was told by most of the DJs in the main room that the promoters had been pretty strict about what kind of music they should play, and that they werent really playing the tunes they wanted to, which is a shame. It was only the second time I've been to Pacha and I love the layout and the club itslef but I just feel there's something lacking when it comes to atmosphere, it could be so much better than it is I think. Anyway glad you like the stuff we were playing upstairs!
