For over the past 5 years the production hothouse duo have been the leading lights in the UK soulful house scene pushing the finest of beats across the worlds biggest clubs with their uniquely blissed soul house sound. Working with artists such as Blaze, Kimara Lovelace, KOT, Kenny Bobien, Roy Ayers and Stephanie Cooke, as well as home-grown talent such as Terri Walker, Kele le Roc and Jamiroquai its clear to see the Fanatix talents are in the highest of demand. With releases across major House labels including; Sony, Defected, BBE, ZR, Def Jam, Soulgroove and of course Soul Heaven Records

What is the idea behind Fantix and how long have you two been working
together?

myself and aaron have been working together nearly 6 yrs now , there was
no real ideas when we first started , we were just mates that decided to do
some tracks together and we clicked really well in the studio .

You have worked with some big artists like Blaze, Kimara Lovelace, KOT, Kenny Bobien, Roy Ayers and Stephanie Cooke, who was your most favourite to work with?

My favorite artist to work with so far would be albert mernendez
(sterling ensemble) who is an amazing player !

What do you think of the soulful house scene in the Uk at the moment with
other genres like Electro and Techno leading the way?

The soulful house scene has always been there and will always be there
.... everything else comes and goes but the cream will always float to the
top !!!

Do you play any instruments?

I wish ! ... i'll be taking piano lessons pretty soon though .

Ever wanted to be in a rock band?

Er Naaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaaah

Have you ever had any other dreams? Was your dream to become a DJ or did
it come along the way?

Yeah i've dreamt of being a millionaire , porn star , light heavyweight
champion of the world ! But dj is the most realistic lol

When you go to clubs - can you enjoy the music or do you have the "professional error" and you are crytical to how the other DJ is mixing and playing his set?

I will always hear mistakes but can get over that if the vibe is good
and the dj plays from the heart !

Who are your biggest influences?

Paul "trouble " anderson , MAW , Dj spen , Karizma , terry hunter and
tony humpries

Best clubs in the world are ...?

Pacha (ibiza ) el divino , Mos , the key (when it was here ) , cielo ,
the shelter .

Where would you like to perform that you haven't yet?

I would love to have played at yellow in japan and unfortunately i never
will as it's closing it'd doors in the next couple of weeks

Who would you like to collaborate with in the future?

Chaka khan , stevie wonder , dwele , al green , erro , fertile ground
...the list could go on forever

Are there any new genres out there in dance music that we should watch
out for?

I hope not

Which song of all songs in the history of music would you mostly like to
mix? (If you could pick any of them.

That's a hard one as my favorites i would'nt really wanna touch .... i'd
say Stevie wonder - AS

Finally your playing at pacha for You got Soul on August 16th. What can we
expect from Fanatix?

You can expect ... real house music played with passion and soul
