This article is about Shiva @ Pacha @ Pacha in London (UK), Sat 13 Jun
Pacha, the final frontier. These are the soundscapes of the Shiva Enterprise. Its two-year mission to date: to explore innovative realms of music, to seek out new dancefloor bombs and crowd-pleasing monsters and to boldly take its clubbers where no clubber has gone before - Planet Hedonism. This is our sound, this is our Planet and our Planet rocks!!!
Shiva return to Pacha for one final, footloose and fanciful night of their own intoxicating brand of house music – as they prepare to have a brief Summer siesta and lay their poor little head to rest. This will be the last Shiva until August and the last Shiva at Pacha until October. So, Kleenex briefly at the ready for a tear or two, swiftly followed by your favourite piece of raving gladrags and dancing shoes. We ain't finished with you yet.....
If you've been lucky enough to witness the last couple of Shiva's, you'll have seen that we've raised the bar (and standards) even higher, musically. May's instalment at the Whitehouse was electrifying and funk-filled. The Shiva Cruise was, according to some revellers, the best boat party they had EVER been on. Your words. Not ours.
So, on to Pacha – the jewel in our crown and the best place where we can air some of the most memorable Shiva classics and also showcase the Shiva classics and sounds of the future. But above everything else, it's where you can all let yourselves go and immerse yourselves in the music.
Because that's what it's about at the end of the day. The music and the dancing. We love listening to music and we love dancing to it. It's been that way for thousands of years. It's part of the fabric of life and it's an integral part of who we are.
Dancing isn't a spectator sport. People don't come to Shiva to hover round the edges, nod their head to try and look cool. No sir. They come down by themselves or with groups of friends with one intention. To dance, get up 'n' dance, really dance and then dance some more. Oh, and have a teeny bit of fun in the process!
This June at Pacha we've employed the constantly sought-after services of the Soul Avengerz, who surely need no introduction to you guys now. These sublime purveyors of house music have provided us with some amazing dancefloor bombs over the years and, this time around, you'll get to hear their latest offerings live and direct!
No-one does Pacha quite like Shiva.
