oh yes Chris, that's exactly how inhale started wasn't it?

Forget the friends that started it up with you and you turned around and completely shafted without the guts to say anything to any of them.

you spineless backstabbing c*nt.

true story of how inhale started: 6 friends each contributed to put together a professionally designed website, they all contributed mixes, content, and money to pay for the development and the bandwidth, some with more talent (one of the other members is now putting on parties which get 'time out choice' recommendations - critical acclaim that chris has never got as far as i know) some with more effort, each with care and thought and time and cash.

then one day once the site was successful and getting a lot of hits, chris changed the passwords effectively locking everyone else out. then he got paid for ads on the site, and traded space on it in the form of pre-night club 'reviews' for networking, favours and gigs. he is still using content on that site which belongs to the other members, even some of the blurb he's posted above is prose written by one of the other 6 and reproduced without permission.

its a very sad story and i hope its one that makes people think twice before trusting this guy.

thanks Gracious. Can I also add that Inhale was a 'clubnight' first and a website second. Inhale started through a group of friends and their shared love of music, mixing and going out clubbing wanting to play out and inviting whoever wanted to come. The website came later - and we all paid a sizeable amount of time and money getting that up and running and keeping it running.

Somewhere along the way what we had became worth something and somebody didn't like the democracy of it all and happened to have the 'keys to the truck' as it were.

I'm sure it's not the first story of this kind in the world of promotion, but it's a lesson learnt. Business and pleasure don't always mix. and don't trust Chris Rayner.

I was one of the friends Chris betrayed. The biography at the top of this piece was written by me. I asked Chris about two years ago to stop using anything I had written - I was never paid, I did it for a 'friend' - and he said he would. However he's so inherently dishonest, he still is. I do mention in it that he will do 'whatever it takes' to be successful. This is the only bit I still stand by. A warning to anyone else thinking of trusting Chris Rayner.

oh and Chris please give 'Winning Mixmag’s August 05 Bedroom Heroes Competition' a rest. We all know you have a friend at Mixmag who fixed it for you.
