From the heart of south London comes the brand new monthly party - KikBak, a collaboration brought to you by Ficklegruber (Mayo Clinic), Pogo DJs and Badlands (Chew The Fat!). Born from their shared love of club music that pushes the boundaries, KikBak has been put together by this local collective to give a south London crowd the chance to sample DJs that define the new talent of House, Electro and Techno music (without the need to travel to East London for the pleasure).
Setting up residence at one of the most respected venues south of the river, the basement room at Plan B was the obvious choice for this new venture. Kitted out with a Function One sound-system and a 24 hour license, this venue is the perfect setting for a balls-to-the-wall party.
Heading up the launch night is a DJ & producer who is no stranger to being at the forefront of a scene. Scott Cooper is currently resident at the pioneering Moda club night, playing regularly alongside the likes of Kissy Sell Out, Sinden, Herve & Simian Mobile Disco. Scott’s productions have already found favour amongst the elite of the House scene, with his collaborations and remixes finding homes on labels such as the Chicago-based Pottymouth & Ministry resident - Lee Mortimer’s Wearhouse imprint, making Scott the perfect guest to introduce what promises to be the best House party south of the river.
Over on a rare trip to the UK & providing Kik Bak with an exclusive slice of the US bass-led House scene will be Los Angeles DJ / production act – Breakdown, who’s high-powered Tech productions have already been championed on Radio 1 by Kissy Sell Out.
Expect sweaty, hassle-free fun and bass-heavy, genre-defining beats and you won’t be disappointed.
