After two awesome parties already in 2009, Metrik return on Bank Holiday Sunday 24th May at Platinum in Shoreditch. Hailed as one of the top underground venues in London, Platinum is set across four floors in a ‘townhouse’ style venue. Some say it is in the perfect location, just off the beaten track in Paul Street which means those that party at this sweet venue are ‘in the know’.
Metrik present Spencer Parker of Radio Slave’s label ‘Rekids’ and has also released on ‘Buzzin’ Fly’, ‘Liebe Detail’ and Nic Fanciulli’s ‘Saved Records’ to name but a few. Not only is Spencer putting out amazing tracks and remixes such as ‘The Improvised Minotaur’, ‘Yogoto’, ‘Chiho’, ‘Mirror Dance’ and ‘Moonraker’ he is also highly regarded as dj, which we all know, seems quite rare with the top producers these days. Having played at top venues all over the globe at countries such as; Russia, China, America, Australia, France, Italy and Romania as well as rocking Fabric, The End and loads more in London. Spencer, a regular at the infamous ‘Panorama Bar’ in Berlin, has now decided to move from London to reside in Europe’s Techno Capital, a move which is sure to project him up the scale another notch.
Spencer’s style is what Metrik is all about, good quality house and techno music. His preferred record labels range from the techno stylings of Oslo, Planet E, Liebe Detail, and Rekids through to the uber-cool house of Buzzin Fly, Ibadan, Tsuba and Objektivity.
Joining Spencer will be Serenade Recordings’ ‘Dan Lively’, Apperitivo’s ‘Fabio Teti’ and of course, Metrik’s fine residents; Jim Brooks and Farserelli.
Metrik will be kicking off the summer the right way just in time before party goers head to Ibiza with extended party time running from 7pm in the evening right through until 6am.
