LOST SOULS: TECHNO CLUB - THIS SATURDAY

What a crazy day was had on Saturday and plenty of different sounds and styles were heard at the toilet as we threw our UK techno special. Somehow word got out in the London Lite newspaper that Carl Cox was coming down!

That wasn't true but we did have two closely affiliated acts with legend Jim Masters who amongst his library of past achievements had run notorious party; BASE, with Carl fro 7 years. Also we were joined by a UK star of the future; Jon Rundell who has just returned from a world tour with Coxy.

So no, Carl Cox wasn't there but maybe we are a few steps closer to him!?!

Moving on here is what we have in store for you this week...

LOST SOULS: TECHNO CLUB @PUBLIC LIFE - THIS SAT 5TH JULY

This week we might be joined by a very, very special guest but we still can't confirm this and we aren't the types to purposely bullshit, so we won't build up loads of hype for nothing to happen. We have our fingers crossed.

We can however confirm that we will once again be joined by the techno monstrosity that is...

PERC [Lost Souls/ Perc Trax] - myspace.com

He has already taken the world by storm with genius like work, a very busy boy, producer, remixer and label gaffer. We are also extremely proud to tell you this guy will now be appearing monthly as our newest resident at the techno club.

No artist is rising faster than London’s Ali Wells aka Perc. The past 12 months have been serious for this techno talent and Perc Trax label boss. His recent release "Serious Moonlight E.P" on Chris Liebing’s CLR label and Perc Trax are just two more notches on his well worn belt. Key to Perc’s recent success was his releases on Kompakt, which found their way into the record boxes of Richie Hawtin, Luciano, Slam, and John Digweed. To cement his techno credentials, Ali’s EP on Adam Beyer’s Drumcode label made him the first non-Swedish artist to release on the label in 7 years and showed that he could produce to a standard equal to the world’s best. With gigs in Asia and across Europe already in his diary, 2008 is undoubtedly a great year for this guy.

Ali will still be making time to join us at the Lost Souls: Techno Club @Public Life on a monthly basis. What with his remix of our German techno buddies Misc. "Chemosphere", E.P. due for release this summer on Lost Souls Records. You could say we'll be seeing plenty of the Perculator!

Yeah it was awesome. They had another party on after us so we had to finish when we did. We managed to squeeze an extra hour of them though!
