That Mixmag Thing returns, Friday July 1, for the next installment of our ever popular party at the Queen of Hoxton.

Once again the lovely people from AGWA de Bolivia are joining us to make this party extra special. AGWA is the beautiful Coca Leaf Liqueur made from the finest Bolivian Coca Leaves!

This month we're going deep with a slew of the best underground house producers around; Tornado Wallace, Huxley and Waifs & Strays. Between them they've had releases on Get Physical, Cécille Numbers, Tsuba, Delusions of Grandeur and Leftroom and are guaranteed to do the business on the ground floor.

In the DSI Basement the guys from UNION have hand-picked a selection of fine DJ talent to pummel the venue's Funktion 1 Soundsystem.

TORNADO WALLACE (Delusions of Grandeur)
Storming onto the global underground scene with his unique brand of antipodean house and techno last year, Tornado Wallace’s releases on the likes of Sleazy Beats and Jimpster’s Delusions Of Grandeur have seen him blow away all before him in 2011. Already known on the circuit as Melbourne producer Lewie Day (with Murmur and Dirt Crwe EPs under his belt) his new moniker has gained him props from DJs as diverse as The Revenge, Matthew Dear, Mark E and Greg Wilson. A true musician (he’s nifty on the keys, sax, guitar and drums, as well as behind the decks), expect to be swept away by Tornado Wallace.

HUXLEY (Cécille Numbers)
Huxley is one of the most talented producers to emerge on the resurgent deep house scene. Back in July 2009 he released the Sassanids EP with Ethyl on Nick Curly's brilliant Cécille Numbers label. The EP included belting tracks like 'With You' and firmly established Huxley as a talent to look out for. Since then releases on Tsuba and Kolour recordings have followed and the demand for his DJ services has rocketed. For fans of quality house music, this is a real treat.

WAIFS & STRAYS (Leftroom/Get Physical)
Waifs & Strays are Amos Nelson and Rich Beanland. A duo born out of diverse musical backgrounds but brought together by a love of house music, pure and simple. A barrage of massive releases on Matt Tolfrey's Leftroom records, including current smash 'Yeah Yeah' brought their deep underground sound to global attention, and with releases forthcoming on Get Physical, Hot Creations and Futureboogie, plus a residency Bristol's cutting-edge Breakfast Club parties, it's time to take in some Waifs & Strays.

STEVIE T (Unwind)
(or Stephen Titmus to the taxman) has been playing records on the London club scene for the best part of 10 years. Specializing in cultured house music and disco rarities his sets tend to dig into overlooked gems rather than focus on current hits. Steve’s Unwind parties, run alongside regular collaborators Lee Rands and Chris Maran, have seen him playing in seedy off radar spaces alongside the likes of The Mole, Maayan Nidam and Cottam (to name but three).

CRAIG TORRANCE (Mood Music)
Craig's deep sets, complemented by enticing melodies and techy beats, have already graced some of the world’s greatest clubs, from Fabric and The Arches to Berlin’s Panorama Bar. He has had tracks out on Moodmusic, 4:Twenty and Darkroom Dubs and has numerous house music bombs set to be released later this year. Resident at Southampton's Junk Club, Craig can span the entire spectrum of electronic music, from deep disco to full on techno. If you'd like to hear a mix of the latter check out his recent offering for Soul Claps 'The Adventures of ...' podcast. It's pretty special!

DSI BASEMENT: UNION TAKEOVER

Union (UNION @ Fabric)
Jumping from in-demand DJ/promoters to full-on artists
in a very short time, Luke and Mark now command a loyal
worldwide following with stellar stadium gigs supporting
Faithless, Deadmau5 and Chase & Status. Not to mention
hosting main stages at Bloc Weekender, SW4 and Global
Gathering. The future’s looking incredibly exciting for these
guys and their techno ‘n’ bass teardown – and we are
delighted to have them curate the basement at TMT #15.

MRSA (Hospital)
MRSA is the d’n’b alias of one Matan Zohar, who not only garners support by bassy big-hitters such as Hospital, High Contrast and London Elektricity (his debut track ‘Different’ appearing on no less than three mammoth compilations: ‘Sick Music’, ‘Hospital Mix 8’ and ‘Addicted to Bass’ on Ministry of Sound), but is highly revered in progressive house and trance circuits as well. Turning anything he touches to gold, the DJ/producer/remixer has reworked the likes of Tiësto and Marcus Schulz under his Mat Zo guise, and has gigs lined-up at superclubs Eden and Amnesia in Ibiza, as well as Global Gathering and SW4 this summer. For tonight’s occasion, however, Matan is bringing his infectiously bassdriven MRSA force to That Mixmag Thing.

AYAH MARAR (Metalheadz)
Ayah Marar has been a talent bubbling under the surface for years. She’s sung for Calvin Harris, Toddla T and Nextmen, started up her own D&B label, ‘Lucky Devil Music’ and completed a residency at Herbal. She is now set to release her debut album, ‘The Real’, so expect her to quickly move from bubbling under to bubbling over.
