Can you believe you are still single?
Hi guys,

this is quite a random one.

London seems to be full of so many people but so few can find anyone decent to have a relationship with. Especially in the clubbing world. Most people i know don't want to meet anyone who is going to encourage them to behave worse than they already do.

My friend Lucy Ambache (myspace) has been doing a singles night @ Polka in the west end for all of her media/radio buddies and has become to busy to run things on her own. The events usually brought in 150-200 people bi monthly. She has asked me to team up with her to help her out and bring some of my gang down to make a night of it.

We are looking for 25-40 year olds, professional or media types that are looking to meet people of the same type.

the event will be

Date: Wednesday, February 13, 2008
Time: 6:30pm - 11:00pm
Location: Ruby Blue
Street: Leicester Place, Leicester Square, WC2H
City/Town: London, United Kingdom

please email rsvp@formulapromotions.com for guest list.

The thing I find about mingling in the Clubbing scene is that it's dam hard to find a decent conversation !

I mean yeah, It's easy to find people who like to talk about how recked they were the night before or people in to stupid humour but it really is hard to find some one with big dreams, goals or ambitions.

I'd be very interested to see what sort of a crowd this event would pull, as in would they be real unhappy loners in to drinking 28 pints a night and in to hanging out in meat markets so not being bothered about the music they hear as long as it's comercial tripe or would the general crowd be actually in to being more individual and follow an underground music scene?

lol.....

people go to these events because they don't want to go to meat markets. All the people that have been so far have either been in the media because Lucy is a breakfast radio dj or a professional city worker because of the location and the press she has had.

I know many single people, none of them are "unhappy loners in to drinking 28 pints" which includes myself.

I might not list the event on dsi again. I think the point is being missed

I can as it's either they are taken or need locking up then again I don't get out much so think this is a nice opportunity though for people to meet and mingle no matter what the Ol' cynical critics wanna say ...

I would not worry too much mate - most of the people on DSI that will take what you are doing seriously, and will actually turn up on the 13th will probably not comment on this thread

It's not written very well - I'll attempt to translate:

It's called 'I can't believe I'm still single' NOT 'I can't believe I'm singl but I am going to label myself as interesting and individual in a desperate attempt not to seem sad.

'I can't believe I'm still single BUT I am into tech house- so ner!' WTF??

If some people were a little less quick to judge other perhaps they wouldn't STILL be single!

P.S Rochie can I come ; P

listen guys, we`re an odd bunch we work unsociable hours so it`s a no brainer that we`re still single, so anything that helps us meet like minded people that understand the issues has got to be a good idea, the fact that its got to be mid week should be proof enough how odd our lives are.

Rochie it`s a really good idea mate,i for one will be there.

I'm single because I love to eat cabbage, brussel sprouts and baked beans. I also don't like minimal. I think it's the latter that is ruining my chances of getting a date...
