Please note the following about Ruislip Lido:-

There is no charge to get in

It does not close, access is possible 24hrs a day seven days a week
*

It is not recommended that you go there after dark, for your own safety, but it does not have a reputation for trouble locally, day or night
*

Swimming is not allowed, indeed the quality of the water is poor. Though nobody stops you there are no lifeguards

There is a beach, so you can do "seaside things"

There are children's rides, of the type you would find in a local park
*

At certain times you can buy snacks and ice creams from the shop near the railway
*

There is a pub there, The Waters Edge
*

By far the highlight is Ruislip Lido's Railway, run by volunteers, it is a must.

A fantastic walk (a stroll around the Lido regardless of the time of year is a joy). Allow about 90 minutes for a circuit.

There is car parking at the end of Reservoir Road, and it is free!
