A brand spanking new night at London's legendary Bar Rumba nightclub. A club with a rich musical, a sound and lighting refurb and a new promotions team committed to putting this neglected central london nightspot back on the clubbing map. And, as a flagship night 'automatica' will be monthly on the last Saturday with a music policy of techno, disco & electronica.

Inspirations for the night range from Brian Eno, Vangelis, Patrick Adams and late night early morning trips to Berlin's Panorama and Watergate clubs. Resident DJ / promoter Andy Bird will be joined each month by a roll call of some of the most cutting edge names in house music.

"We're aiming for an eclectic booking policy basically booking our favourite artists from across the electronic music sphere, from Detroit to Berlin to Manchester. And keeping that disco vibe for room two.”

September’s lauch sees Roland Appel of Truby Trio, Sonar Kollektiv & Compost Records fame jetting in from his native Germany alongside Andy Bird and Maurice Fulton of Tirk Records.

Maurice Fulton is one of house music’s true originals, an ex-pat American DJ and producer who refuses to be pigeonholed. His name is one of those unexpected recurrences in dance music: in the nineties his hand was behind ‘Gypsy Woman’ by Crystal Waters, one of the most successful house tunes of era, and these days he’s the darling of both the underground house and leftfield scenes both as a DJ and a producer.

Whilst in room two Mancunian Electro pioneer Greg Wilson will be plying his usual mash up of party tunage with able support from All End's Up's husband and wife tag team Jim & Kerry. A re edit king who’s been Djing since the heady days of the Wigan Casino, Greg is a DJ’s favourite DJ.
