Fervor rock up at
Scala with
Funktion One sound on
August 4th continuing their policy of booking some of the biggest legends of the underground scene. This time round following hot on the heels of of the likes of Huntemann, Bodzin, Romboy, Schumacher, Gaiser & Heartthrob we have head of the Swedish Techno mafia,
Adam Beyer.
Alongside Stockholm's Cari Lekebusch, Joel Mull and Jesper Dahlback,
Adam Beyer has become synonymous with the techno sound of Sweden, which has quite literally shaken the world since the mid-nineties. From the driving percussive force of his Drumcode label to the more open electronic miasma on his current Truesoul and Mad Eye imprints,
Beyer remains one of the biggest and most influential producer/DJs on the planet. Ever keen to continually evolve and develop, his three studio albums Decoded (Planet Rhythm, 1996), Protection (Drumcode, 1999) and Ignition Key (Truesoul, 2002) aptly show the Swedes studio development from raw diamond to the polished article.
Joining
Beyer on headline duty are
Spektre, the brainchild of
Paul Maddox and former Fervor guest
Filthy Rich. The staggering amount of success and experience within the notoriously hard to crack music production industry that both have achieved, is proof already that
Spektre is one act to keep a watchful eye on. Both in their early 20s Paul and Rich have achieved notoriety in their respective fields of dance music. It was through a mutual love of underground minimal techno and electronic experimentation that the pair began to form an understanding together in the studio. The outcome of this experimentation was the birth of
Spektre.
As ever the excellent and consistent
Fervor residents
LoveFish (fresh from playing Space and Amnesia in Ibiza),
Ninja Cowboys and
Grimey will be showcasing their skills and they will be joined by
Carl Cox's Intec label boss
Jon Rundell, Alt Recordings
'Pseudo Funk' and the talented up and coming
Ali MacDonald for a collective veritive techno feast.
A new addition to the lineup includes 3
Halo DJs plus
Unique Music from Norwich with
Dom Kane headlining.
Last but not least we have a
VJ set from
creative_intelligence who will be throwing up some rotten and psychedelic images projected around the club.
Strictly limited
£8 tickets are available from www.fervor.co.uk and it will be
