Sub Focus brings the noise to Moondance NYE

It all started with a demo CD being passed on by a friend to the biggest drum and bass DJ in the world, Ram Records' boss Andy C in 2003, with a phone number badly scribbled on the cover. Now in 2007, Sub Focus has fully emerged as one of the most inspiring new talents in the DnB scene, wrecking dancefloors worldwide with his rough and energetic productions. We spoke to him ahead of his set at Moondance's huge NYE event in London...

Old skool anthem belter Rachel Wallace comes to Moondance NYE

Rachel Wallace's 'I Feel This Way' is undoubtedly one of the biggest - and most instantly recognisable - anthems from the old skool rave era. What better way for Moondance to bring in the New Year at SeOne than with a live PA from the lady herself? We took a trip down memory lane to the Golden Era of the rave scene when we spoke to Rachel recently...

MOONDANCE NYE
31st December 2007
2000 – 0600

@ SeOne Complex, Weston Street, London SE1
Nearest Tube: London Bridge

£15 Early Bird Tickets ON SALE Friday 19th October

THIS EVENT HAS SOLD OUT IN ADVANCE FOR THE PAST 4 YEARS!

This is London’s biggest New Year’s Eve event!

This is the 5th Annual Moondance NYE party – after having sold out the SeOne IN ADVANCE for the past 4 years in a row. 3000 of the world’s most up-for-it party animals filled the cavernous SeOne to its rafters last December 31st for an all-night, end-of-year celebration of old skool anthems, liquid and tearing drum ‘n’ bass, slammin’ rave breaks and sexy house and electro – and that’s exactly what’s going to happen again this year!

Early Bird Tickets are priced at a ridiculously low £15 and go on sale at 9AM on Friday 19th – by which time you should have recovered from Moondance’s huge 13th Birthday blowout! Early Bird Tickets are available exclusively through Ticketweb, ClubTickets, Viewtickets, Ticketbank, Ravetickets and DontStayIn.com.

As always, Moondance’s gargantuan Main Room at SeOne will rock to the sounds of the old skool anthems that made the club famous! Rachel Wallace will be performing her stone-cold classic ‘I Feel This Way’ at midnight, bringing in the New Year with one of the biggest tracks in Moondance’s history, with rave legends Ratpack, Slipmatt and Billy Bunter all in full effect alongside our best-loved residents and regulars! Our sexy House & Electro Arena continues to go from strength to strength, getting bigger and better with each event - with KissFM’s Steve Smart exclusively headlining the room.

Son of Dance bring another heavyweight line-up after having tested Ministry of Sound’s legendary main room system to its limits – with plenty of rough and ready bizness courtesy of DnB’s number 1 DJ Andy C, 3-deck wizard Friction, Roni Size’s favouirte Clipz and leader of the new school TC, fresh from dropping his devastating debut longplayer ‘Evolution’. Essence of Chi have put together another mouthwatering line-up of liquid and techy DnB flavors, including old skool legend Doc Scott playing the midnight set, Movement’s Bryan Gee flexing his smoother jungle muscles, the inspirational Marcus Intalex (whose recent Fabriclive CD was undoubtedly one of the DnB highlights of the year) and Artificial Intelligence once again. Top this off with a Hardcore & Breaks room that brings together Shut Up & Dance (showcasing material from their new ‘Great British Public’ album) and Vibes & Livelee, and you really are spoilt for choice.

SeOne comes fully equipped with a huge smoking area, 5 massive arenas, lots of plush seating and 5 bars, and we’ll be installing the biggest laser and live visuals show that the venue has ever seen!

Tonight we’re gonna party like it’s 1989….

“It’s the only one to be at on NYE! Every year it just gets better! See you there.... PS...Ministry was heavy!” – Simon “Bassline" Smith
