For DALI, the top female psy trance act in the World, you might be surprised to hear her ideal lineup would include Linkin Park, Sinead O’Connor, Tory Amos and Massive Attack. But when you hear her LIVE performances, as you will at Party Proactive’s fourth birthday, it becomes abundantly clear what she stands for musically – powerful, melodic and emotive tracks woven together by her own ranging vocals. >From her first forays into DJing in 2001, Dali’s original Psytrance productions and soul lifting performances have lead to her headlining festivals across the globe from Japan, Mexico, Brazil, the UK and her native Israel. Introduced to Eyal Yankovich, owner of the massive HOMmega Productions, when she was 26, and taken on as the only female on its all male rosta, Dali’s first album, Hectic, blew away preconceived Psytrance perceptions with its tough guitar riffs and solid rolling bass lines.

We first had the pleasure at Party Proactive of hearing Dali’s dynamic sound last March when she had the main room of Turnmills rocking as if as one. With her new album set for release early 2008, Party Proactive is excited to announce that the fourth birthday on the 8th March will be showcasing the unique sound of a LIVE DALI PERFORMANCE!! With guitarist, AMIT OFIR, and Dali on keyboards, the SeOne will play host to a lady whose passion and inspiration for what she does has hypnotised dancefloors across the globe. May I introduce to you – Dali!

Hi Dali, I’m really pleased that you’re going to be playing for us again at our fourth birthday – I hope you have a less eventful journey getting here this time though!
Tell me, what have you been up to this past year?
Hey, thanks my pleasure any time! Well actually I’m working on my new album these days in between world touring and just recently I have upgraded my studio. I have took place in Infected Mushroom’s 10th year Israel celebration with my band in a new level of performance by adding Nati – Dali’s new Drummer girl.
It’s great that you’re doing a LIVE performance for us as I know your roots were originally as a drummer in a band – we’ve never had a live guitarist at a Party Proactive before. In fact, I’ve never seen a live guitarist in a club before! Having remixed a track for Terry Poison (a female Israeli rock band) on your Hectic album, is the line between dance and guitar based bands beginning to blur do you think?
Totally- YES. In the past two years there is a movement between Electro, Rock and psychedelic-Trance. Lots of productions involved with singing and poppy lines. As far as I can see the most natural combination is Rock - Trance and the Guitar is a very important instrument for all kind and type of music and i see no reason why it shouldn't be in the trance music also.
I know you’ve been working on your new album, how’s it coming along and will we be getting any tasters of its content during your performance??
Oh yes! My new album concept is almost ready and I’m very excited about it. My new live act contains lots of new tunes from it in addition to my hits anthems.

Did you find it easier to create the tracks for this album or was it harder as there are expectations following on from the first?
Let’s just say it isn’t easy. I know that theirs a lot of expectations from my fans and the party people side among mine… as we just said it is a new era in our scene the level maintain to keep it always up.

You’ve been remixed previously by Astrix and collaborated on your previous album with Silent Hill – are they any other collaborations in the pipeline or desires to do so?

My new album will stay as personal as I can just like the first one. i have collaborated with Psy Craft on one track and working on a new track with DJ Guy Salama.. In anyway I guess that almost every artist has desire to work with friends and other musicians to reach point that can be harder than working alone.
What equipment do you use to make the tracks on?
STRONG P.C and
Dynaudio Monitors
Nordlead G2,
RME - sound card fire face 800
U.A.D kit.
And what is an average day for you – do you work on tracks every day or wait for inspiration to strike?
Let’s say that this is my work my way of living. Means each day is a studio day. If i don't have inspiration i work on the technical side because there is always lot of work with that issue and when i do have inspiration i work on new track, sure!
Do you still find time to surf?!
Sometimes, I focused much more in my work so i don’t have much time to go to the beach.
To finish off the interview with a little of your inspiration, could you sum up with a few lyrics which you feel is representative of where you’re at with your life, universe and everything?! - Original Dali lyrics for the PP faithful! ?
As Tom P. says; I'm learning to fly but i ain’t got wings… what goes up must come down.
Thanks, Dali. We love you and can’t wait to have you part of the Party Proactive magic once again. Roll on the 8th March!!!

thank you and see you in london....
