But all those people who generalise about drum and bass ravers aint got a fucking clue, if you love the Drum and bass and are educated about it you will understand, if you aint aint dont presume that every person who listens to drum and bass is a trouble loving Cunt.

You're spot on, but the problem isn't helped by the fact that you only need 0.5% of the clientele being the moody shitheads to fuck up the entire night.

The fact that the promoters and venues that run some of these nights seem to have no control over what's happening once the venue doors are open is what makes me wonder whether some of them should even be holding a licence for events at all.

You no what mate, agreed 100%. The same people go to the same raves, stand in the same place and start the same trouble, but boucers may deal with it that night, but the next time you go raving there doing he same thinga again!

It fucked up, life hard enought, you go out at the weekend to have fun to music you love, shouldnt have it deal with crap and be worried on a night out

I personally dont no what you lot mean? maybe its because im a girl that i dont realise all the violence goin on? i had my phone and camera in my back pocket the hole time and nuthing happened and i was prettyyy mashed so wouldnt of realised if some one was taking it but no one did? . i do see a few agressive white guys who find it fun to deliberatly nock people over but ive been to quite a few raves in my life and i think that was defiantly not the scariest?

How and why is it ok for people to be coked up aggressive wannabe ganstar cunts?

I never used to feel on edge at aggressive raves. Not sure if I do now because I am getting older and am becoming more aware of my safety.

I saw at least 4 fights. I felt nervous to look anyone in the eye, people where just walking up to you and taking bottles of water off them and walking away. Some thieving cunt stole a flash gun, just for they crack, I mean what the fuck are they going to do with that? second hand... worth fuck all.

Anyone think no hats, no hoodies door policies work?

'So' what? You think that it's acceptable that it happens? Granted it's mostly at D&B so if you're going to those events then you do kinda deserve it, BUT I can't help but be amazed at the blaze attitude of the regulars.

I think this needs to be put into perspective a bit. I know DnB nights don't have the best rep anyway, but we're taking one person's word for all this. I'd like to hear a few other people's verdict on the night before I believe that it was actually "scary" in there. I mean, you take a choir boy from Devon (not Tom) who's never been out before to a regular house night, and they might be scared too! It's all relative! I've been to a lot of DnB nights and, granted, they're often full of chavs, but I can't say I've ever felt scared at one. Can't help but think that negative media hype about hoodies and chavs could have affected your judgement on this one, although that dude having his flash gun nicked doesn't really back up my point very well!

I did see that, but I'm hoping someone else can come up with something a little better than:

I don't think so, it was highly aggressive and the staff seemed to let people get away with not queing pushing people over etc as they couldn't control the situation, I'm wearing a hoodie now, all my friends wear hoodies, I don't think I am affected by the media about it.
