This article is about Raindance Twenty @ seOne in London (UK), Sat 19 Sep
Twisted Bliss is a recognised name/brand in the rave/club scene, going from strength to strength over the past few years. This includes branching out and launching teams in Scotland, South West, Wales etc. With 63+ girls in Twisted Bliss. They have become one of the countries fastest growning teams out there. With dance and entertainment residentcies at events like Raindance, Frantic, Energy Rush, Hyperbolic, Twisted & Brainfire, REBEAT, Hiddencore, and many others, it seems that these girls will be around for a long time yet, bringing aded Twisted Bliss to events and stages up and down the country.
Hiya Emma, first of all we would like to say well done on your hard work making Twisted Bliss a house hold name. You must be very proud of Twisted Bliss.
First question: Recently there have been certain rumors going around about who actually started Twisted Bliss. So its only right that our first question is, Who were the orginal Blissettes? When Did Twisted Bliss start?? and How did the name Twisted Bliss come about??
well i originally started dancing in clubs about 9 years ago with my best friend claire, we started out at rumble at the waterfront Norwich we started getting booked for more events in Norwich so we named ourselves DK wicked (terrible name I no lol) tragically claire died and I stopped dancing for a bit but after a while i thought she would of wanted me to carry on doing what I loved. That’s when I met Fran aka smurfette i noticed her dancing at a club and thought she was really good we teamed up and a very good mate of mine Dj dizzy came up with the name twisted bliss
old skool photos coming up now the ORIGNAL two
we were getting so may bookings that I decided to take on a few more girls in Norwich. this is when I met Lynz and she helped me further with twisted bliss. I eventually met bonnie at an Anne Summers party and that’s how the London team got set up
The first TB team
After that the more girls that auditioned for us the more areas we started to cover its all about working as a team each and every girl works very hard for Twisted Bliss I am so proud of them all. We’ve had a few girls come and go off to do they’re own thing but we remain a strong team and will do for years to come. A special Thanks though doe's go to Bonnie and Lynz Twisted Bliss wouldn't be where we are today if it weren’t for there hard work and dedication xxx If it weren’t for claire I wouldn't of started all this so hope she is proud of me RIP darling xxx
second question: When you first tock to the stages as Twisted Bliss did you ever think that it would grow into one of the most successful teams??
No I didn’t at all we were just out for a laugh at first but the more bookings we got the more serious we had to get I myself use to love going out raving and having a mad time but it feels strange now unless I’m dancing but i wouldn’t change it for the world I love it
third question: Twisted Bliss have worked very hard to get where they are today. Between you and all the Blissettes you have brought added Twisted Bliss to events such as Dance Island, Raindance, Transmission, Frantic, Fantasy Island, Godskitchen to name but a few of the many events that you have under the Twisted Bliss belt. If you and the Blissettes could dance at any event, which one would it be and why??
I'd love for us to go abroad some where hot ideally a nice club in Ibiza that would have all the TB girls as residents and we could come and go as we please i also love festivals so any big festivals that would have us id be more than happy to do
forth question: As alot of people are aware Twisted Bliss is one of the biggest teams on the scene, with over 60 girls in Twisted Bliss and we are sure many girls would love the chance to be a blissette, we arew sure they would like to know what does it take to be a Blissette??
Twisted Bliss is like one big family we are all very close we do have the odd disagreement here and there but all in all we get on so well and are a friendly down to earth group of girls we are all unique in our own styles of dancing when we audition a girl we look for something special in them if we see potential in a girl but they where maybe not that great at the audition most of the time take them under our wing and help them to progress their dancing rather than turn them away as auditions can be very scary and you may not perform your best. All in all to be a blissette just be yourself
Fifth question: Wrapping it up now, as we are sure you have some stage that you should be twisting up, what can we expect from Twisted Bliss in the future??
Alot of people think Twisted Bliss are just a dance team but we have progressed from that we have a wonderful sister team called twisted fire: Twistedfire Entertainment they can provide anything from stilts to fire performances, grinders to snake charmers
also our most recant venture is the teaming up of Twisted Bliss and Pure Body Purebody Promotions we're really looking forward to working with these guys catch us out with them very soon...
thanks for the interview hope this has shed a little light on the Twisted Bliss history and look forward to what the future holds for us...
Thankyou Emma (aka Tink) for your time and looking foward to seeing you alongside the Blissettes on the dance floor!
Dontforget to catch the TB dancers at the next Raindance Raindance 20th Birthday
