An Interview with La Vita resident Miss Divine

Q: What does La Vita mean?
"La Vita" means "Life" in Italian. I thought is was a very beautiful and topical name for this event.
Q: Where did you inspiration for the event come from?
Breast Cancer has always been something close to my heart ever since my grandma passed away. I have played for various Breast Cancer events in Bristol and wanted to bring something similar to London and beyond...
Q: Did you ever think that the response would be this great?
No way! I first posted a thread on DSI back in November to see if anyone would be interested in supporting an event for Breast Cancer Research. The initial feedback was immense! I knew that I couldnt organise and run the event alone so I requested the assistance of yourself and Lady Duracell and we havent looked back since.
Q: There are many great charities around, why Breast Cancer Research?
A close friend of mine runs her own night for Breast Cancer Research, Klub Kabu. She was diagnosed with Breast Cancer at the end of 2005 and I watched her fight through the cancer which has given me great inspiration to help others do the same.
Q: Why have an all female lineup?
Because girls are better than boys! lol! On a serious note, I have been asked this question so many times and the answer will always be the same. I'm aware that Breast Cancer also effects men but La Vita is all about Women representing Women.

Q: Who are you most looking forward to hearing at La Vita?
We have so much talent on display that it is very hard to pick just one. However, if I had to pick someone then it would have to be the Lovely Laura on sax. She took the roof off El Divino for Hed Kandi's closing party last year and I have been waiting to hear her play again ever since that night.
Q: Why pick the Sin as the venue?
We had many top venues that were interested in hosting the night but I had played at Sin the previous week and fell in love with the place. When we sat down with Sin to discuss the prospect of La Vita I was taken back by their support. It was obvious that they shared the same vision and I knew this was the right place for us.
Q: What types of music can we expect from the night?
Well.........You can expect to hear every genre of House including, Electronic, Soulful, Dirty, Funky, Minimal, Vocal, Tech, Breaks and even a Liquid Drum 'n' Bass set (only because I love it!)
Q: What special guests can we expect to see on the 1st March?
Now that would be telling! I can tell you that we have a few suprises that I'm sure everyone will enjoy.
Q: What are the future plans for La Vita after the launch party?
The vision is never ending! We already have a couple more events in London before we take La Vita to Ibiza for the summer. Starting from the 7th May we will be running every Monday @ Hush until mid October. We also have confirmed events in Alicante, Malta and Naples so the future is certainly looking bright for us.
