Dear Amy,

I enjoyed reading your article. It's really brought home the passion and energy of the event, with good emphasis on La Vita's charity core-theme, for breast cancer awareness.

However, with all due respect, given that the whole La Vita event was co-hosted by two SheJays, shouldn't you perhaps give some fair credit to the other significantly-involved SheJay as well??

I recognise Miss Divine was the "first-listed" Headliner on the promo flyer(s), but you've completely neglected to make ANY mention whatsoever of Lady Duracell, a very well-established Female DJ in her own right, who was significantly in the 2nd spot!
FYI: [- click for Lady Duracell's DSI profile -]
You'll also note she's connected with the very popular FunkInYou parties at Koko in Camden, and has been since the start; and she's also a Producer.

You mentioned SIN's Ballroom, where Lady D played, and you mentioned Laura the Saxophonist, who actually played around the time Lady D was on the decks.. yet you somehow managed to not mention Lady Duracell at all? I daresay that's quite an oversight. ;]

[Edit]
I definitely agree when you said:
One thing is for sure every SheJay’s performance did La Vita proud.

LA VITA has been a wonderful idea brought to successful fruition (with the help of Jambo, Event Manager), and I, for one, am looking forward to participating - perhaps even contributing, somehow - to future La Vita events, and its overall aim of increasing everyone's awareness of (the need for) further breast cancer research.

So, Miss Divine, Lady Duracell, Jambo (and the rest of the organising team behind La Vita), PLEASE let's continue to have more 'La Vita for Charity' parties!!! (.. and let me know if/how I can help!) [/Edit]

KUDOS to ALL the Lady DJs who got up and played for La Vita!!
I wish I could've cloned myself in order to be present in ALL rooms for ALL sets... As it was, I toured through the club all night, to try and catch bits of each gal's sets..! (Talk about "workin" on your night out..! LOVED it tho!)

Great write up, of a great nite!

Altho it would have been nice to see a list of all DJs and performers, seeing as it was the BIGGEST ever all-girl line-up in the UK, possibly the world!?

Here's to many more :)

Hi Amy,
Thank you for the clarification.
I'll just re-emphasise that I actually liked your article, and fully agree that La Vita's Launch Party @ Sin on Thurs March 1st was a blinding success for all involved, and especially for the Breast Cancer Charity as a result -- and I, for one, enjoyed it immensely -- but find myself a bit confused over the omission (PM to follow, respectfully), as I would've thought any "background research" on the event itself would've revealed at least that fact (2 co-hosts), and made for an easy inclusion.

In any case, I apologise for any negativity -- I am, of course, fully supportive of La Vita, already being a supporter of both Breast Cancer and Prostate Cancer charities myself, and I look forward to participating in / contributing to La Vita's further and continued successes going forward.

LA VITA was one helluva party - LET'S HAVE MANY MORE!!
What better excuse to party than to support a worthy cause?!?

"Oi! La Vita? O, I Love It!"
