(Next time I spend any significant time in HK, I'm gonna GROW DSI over there for the HK clubscene!)
I've been in England now for about 2 1/2 yrs... and London for the last 1 1/2 years. Been SO busy with work, I've hardly gone out as much as I did back in HK. (Yes, nightlife-deprived for over a year! Tsk!)
THIS year, 2007, having discovered DSI @Christmas'06, I've joined with FULL INTENT to primarily learn more about London's clubbing scene, and take a few pics while I'm at it, if I can help it!
So far I've enjoyed myself quite a bit, and if this article goes across nicely, I'd like to write more ("first time" reviews)!

_Last night (Sat 3 Mar), I went to SPACE @ The Cross_ for the first time. It reminded me a bit of my (first, again) _Hidden_ experience, being under some arches.. but bigger. And they have outdoor areas, too. Nice. (They must be JAMMED in summer!).....
BUT... DSI Family, I NEED to write to you NOW, about SOSHO.
Again, another "first time" for me, but I was totally blown away..!!
Location - Central/East London (2 Tabernacle St, London EC2A 4LU)
_SOSHO_ is tucked away a bit, amongst commercial buildings (closed of course at this time), but NOT FAR from Moorgate (to the south) and Old Street Stn (to the north), along TABERNACLE St. (just off City Rd.) in Central London.. but NOT hard to find. (At this time of night, the music's loud enough to hear a block away..! You'll find it, believe me.) ;]
Given it's a Sunday night/Monday morning, parking's not that tough. Drive a couple blocks off the main drag if you need to.. you're likely to find something (single yellow)...
** Keep in mind you're INSIDE the _Congestion Zone_: NO CHARGES, though, until it comes back into effect 0700hrs Monday morning! **
Money/Costs - pretty darned good, for the City!
It was a 10er to get in*, BUT the DRINKS are not as EXPENSIVE as I expected, for a City club! (I ran a tab, and 4 or 5 drinks later, (2 doubles!) I only paid 21 pound! And I don't do beer- I'm talkin mixers (Myers's RUM & COKE).
Drinks/Bar - Cocktails by Match Bar Team. Bottled Water available.
Ask for ANDY at the (main) bar - he's a funkin' STAR. (TIP the man - he's worth it.. and will make it worth your while, too!) Service was very good, and one of them was even showing some skillful bar flare.
I was told minimum for a Tab is 10quid. That's fair and easy.
Premises/Cloakroom
The club has a Main Floor, w/DJ booth, and a "Lounge" downstairs, also w/DJ. (The Cloakroom is BEYOND the toilets, along the corridor off the bottom of the stairs to the basement. 1pound per article.) Both levels have comfy/cushy seats, and each has a bar too.
Strangely, as I was told, Fri/Sat nights @ SOSHO only go until 4 or 5 am.. but THIS night (Sunday night into Monday morning) runs until 0600hrs!

Cigarettes - vending machine available
I don't smoke, but I saw the ciggy machine. So you smokers can get your fix. ;) (Respect..)
Toilets - basement only.
- Ladies, you may be glad to know that you've a sofa/bench/lounger in your loo, so you can sit & wait for cubicles to become free. (I saw it thru the open door - not perving!)
- Gents, sometimes there's a line, but it moves rather well. Facilities are well maintained.
Music/Tunes!
I met 2 DJs tonight/this morning. Terry Francis and JB, playing the Main Room. Let me just say this: Who's Afraid of Detroit?
(JB gave me promo cards, for _EBM (Electronic Body Movement) on Sat 17th March at EGG_, btw.)
They played some ABSOLUTELY FANTASTIC house music.. which I think was DEEP, and some Electro. (Sorry, House-lovers.. I'm not so well-clued on all the genres yet... but TRUST ME.. it was GREAT!)
There was a good mix of people there, all just enjoying themselves -- no evidence of any trouble or trouble-makers, thank goodness. Tonight, anyway, Security had an easy job. ;)
Ahh.. the bliss of "hassle-/trouble-free clubbing"...

Bringing DSI a "fresh look" at some old faithfuls... and some new(er) nightspots..
They advertise Membership for RETOX [_DSI_, _MySpace_, _SOSHO/RETOX_], which was advertised as only 5pound, and gets you a "members kit" incl CDs, stickers, etc.. plus discounted entry (on Sundays?), and a "members welcome cocktail".
Sosho/Retox ask that you have a PICTURE ID with you when you pay your 5quid.
Again, if anyone needs me to correct any info here, I'd be happy to oblige.
