There is no denying it, the Moustache is becoming the new mullet, the modern cowboy boot, the sideburn for the urban fashionista…The Moustache Mamas don’t leave home without one - Always trimmed to perfection & and waxed just right. For most it is a statement of cool, but for others it is a statement of their history, and a physical embodiment of their very soul.

Comprising their many years of vinyl collecting under one gambit of muscle, the Mamas let loose with a special blend of classic disco, dirty funk, syncopated pop favourites, new-disco & a bit of yacht-rock (for the landlocked). Delivering Jump-suited genius and armed with disco-demons that unleash themselves when these two ladies unite: Helen Burnip & Tamara Deike – A Northerner, and a North American – they hold their own (and their cocktails). With influences that span from the southern Americas to the musical fusions of folk with energy and political aggression from the north, the Mamas have tackled social issues of femme-facial hair through their love of music.

The Mamas are known to breakout in energetic Jane Fonda-esque lunging behind the decks & incite moustached madness from dance floor goers and demand you to bring your party-pants & get your lip fur ready!
