6 DJs, 300 plus revellers, and a vibe that powered The Sundance from Temple Pier to Greenwich and back. The anticipation of the crowd queuing up to board was infectious but soon appeased. Organised by resident DJs Cava and Pheel Kay, joined by guest DJs MikeStarr, Alex K, Oksana and T Boy (winner of a recent DJ competition to support new talent) the 7th Boat Party didn’t miss a beat.

DJs worked their vinyl on both upper and lower decks; the eclectic offerings of funk, house and electro combining to sustain the crowd. Something very special emerges when music brings people together and the positive energy that emanated from The Sundance ensured egos were temporarily thrown overboard. Each DJ lent their own unique flavour to create an inspiring fusion; music, beats, bodies all uniting to meltdown: one hypnotic body, energised by the beats pumping through its veins.

The Boat Party has long been on the agenda for Polish music lovers and has a loyal following in the Polish community living in London. What was great to see this time was a greater mix of cultures joining together in celebration of the music – a signal that The Boat Party has come of age.
