This article is about Platform 12 Summer Boat Party #1 feat. TAYO, DEEKLINE & WIZARD, ILS, CLIVE MORLEY, LADYKILLA @ Temple Pier in London (UK), Sat 28 May 2005

Platform 12 Starts The Summer!

It is true that like most things a year old, Clive Morley still needs his mum and resident DJ, Ladykilla still cries when he needs feeding, but after a year of ‘sub-funk fuelled bass and electro breaks’ the night is well out of its infancy. In fact, DJ Magazine rate it as one of the top 5 in London and Krafty Kuts described it as having one of the best vibes he has ever experienced and now that they’re into their second year, we can expect big things indeed.

To kick off their mouth-watering summer series, Tayo is joined by not only Deekline & Wizard, acclaimed remixers of ‘My My My’, (Zane Lowe’s No.1 Tune of last year, Radio 1) but Ils, on his ‘Bohemia’ album tour: Quite simply, a stunning line-up and that’s just to get things out of the harbour… Adam Freeland, The Freestylers, Stanton Warriors and Krafty Kuts are all earmarked for later in the year as well as the best of the rest and that’s not forgetting the resident duo themselves. 4 parties in as many months and I don’t want to miss a second.

Here, check out a video from the last party!

Needless to say I’m very excited... if you've ever made it down to a Platform 12 then you would've undoubtedly heard tunes by these guys. They're all regulars at the likes of Fabric & The End and they've all promised to dig deep into their party crates to ensure the summer gets started in style.

The Dutch Master is the perfect venue for the occasion too... not only is it the biggest boat you can get (we're still talking to the Queen about the HMS Belfast), but with its completely open top-deck, there's enough outdoor space to really soak up the summer vibe...

Catch the sunset across the Thames, take in some of the most unique views London has to offer and cool off in the breeze as we head east through the docklands: We'll get as far as the Thames Barrier before returning back.

Deck 2 is for chilling... It's half enclosed with a bar (which is much cheaper than most London clubs), seating and a balcony which overlooks the dance floor while the outside has more tables and is the most refreshing place to be after a nights hard dancing.
