Diesels career started off with playing the local bars and discos in his native West London. Finally getting a break to warm up for Gilles Peterson in 1986. From then on until 1988 playing straight ahead jazz, latin, soul, in various spots in and around London.

From 1988 got hit by the house bug and hooked up with dj partner/friend dj Rocky playing as house's first dj duo! During this time both became regulars at the legendary "Shoom Club" ran by Danny Rampling and branched out into djing eclectic sets and all things balearic.

Regular dj spots would follow at "boys own" parties with Terry Farley and Andrew Weatherall. Also at this time running own night called "yellow book" at the Gardening Club in 1989 until 1991.

Soon after this became a regular dj on the dance network encompassing clubs like ministry of sound, back to basics, cream (was resident for 2 years) throughout the 90s.

Eventually djing around the world starting with Ibiza, Europe and then South America, South East Asia, Japan and Australisia.

Presently recording under the guise of "X-press 2" along with Rocky and Ashley Beedle on Skint Records resposible for "Lazy" feat. David Byrne which became an international hit for them. Currently working on their live X-press 2 show to promote the new album “Makeshift Feelgood” with a new single forthcoming this summer entitled "Kill 100" which features Rob Harvey (the Music).

Other projects have included the Ballistic Brothers, Yellow Sox and dj Edit lable Moton Records co ran with old friend Dave Jarvis.

At the moment continuing to dj as X-press 2 as well as solo djing and due to set up a new night in London under the name "Heavy Disco" with Ashley Beedle.

Mistress De Funk

Myspace

Mistress De Funk is one of the top female DJ talents in the country. Dubbed "The Queen of Sankeys", you can now see her spinning regularly around the country pioneering her unique sound of minimal tech and electronica. Her unbelievable charismatic prescense behind the decks make her a firm favourite with any dance floor and dont be surprised to see her clambering on the decks or stage diving into the crowd! When the Mistress arrives you guaranteed a good party. As the atmosphere boils, her outstanding skills are a beacon of talent shining out across the dancefloor. She combines cutting, chopping and seamless mixing to maintain a groove prominent throughout all her sets. And after a successful summer tearing up Ibiza Filthy Gorgeous and Filthy Mondays weekly, she has now returned to the UK securing herself a Sankeys and Radio One residency (which started in January 2007). With gigs lined up this year in Spain and Poland, the Mistress is getting ready to take her sound global!
