Frantic presents Timeless: Who's the Mystery Guest???

This article is about Frantic presents Timeless 6 @ The Colosseum in London (UK), Sat 23 Feb 2008

The ultimate Hard House & Trance classics night Timeless returns to London on February 23rd at the fabulous Colosseum in Vauxhall, with a massive line-up in tow. But what's this? The Overlords of Frantic have declared that a special Mystery Guest will be joining the fray to cast a spell over the legions of Hard House soldiers? Who is this shadowy figure? We delved inside the mind of this dark conjurer to try and figure out who exactly it is...

Hello Mystery Guest! So what can you tell us about yourself that doesn’t give away your identity...

Hello Frantic lovers! Well, I’m 5’4’, live near the Southern North Sea and make a living playing Hard House to the masses all over the world! I have 4 brothers, 2 sisters and a Shar Pei dog, I love motorbikes and passed my motorbike test when I was 19 years old.

How would your friends describe you?

My friends think I’m a little bit crazy and too obsessed with my music!

Do you have any nicknames?

Yes, it’s the name of a flower – if I told you anymore it would give the game away so keep on guessing. Ha ha!

How does it feel to be a super special guest at Timeless, London's longstanding classics night?

I’m really excited and have had great fun preparing for this one especially as it’s the closing set! I recently moved house and I’ve been sorting through 15,000 pieces of vinyl. I’ve dug out some real gems for my set and really hope you enjoy it. I’ll also be handing out some special mix CDs on the night for some lucky clubbers to keep so watch out for those!

Have you played for Frantic before and which event would you say has been the most memorable?

I’ve played for Frantic several times and every event has been memorable, although not for a while so it will be a welcome return and I hope it will be a great surprise for everyone.

You will be closing the Long Room on 23rd Feb. What have you got planned?

Well I’m going to take people right back in time with a set that recreates the vibe of one the massive events that I closed with some time ago...it will certainly be a “Timeless” hour!

What’s your all-time top Timeless anthem? And don’t say one of yours!

My God that’s impossible it changes on a daily basis! I love the original Untidy Dubs "Funky Groove" or Nick Sentience's "Digital Dialogue" or Exit E "Epidemic". There, I can whittle it down to 3 today!

Which countries and venues have you been playing in recently?

Well I’ve been to Australia, Canada, UK and Ireland recently and I did all the big festivals in the UK and Ireland last summer. I recently played at Turnmills, Polysexual, Inside Out in Scotland, TW12 and The Big Reunion in Skegness.

Who is your favourite producer at the moment?

Well I’ve been on a staple diet of BK and Vinylgroover for years, they are well established favourites of mine and I’ve worked with them both, but I love Kutski’s current production because he always tries to do something different.

Lastly what would you say has been your claim to fame (again without giving too much away!)

I was in a reality TV programme that won a BAFTA and I’ve filled in for Dave Pearce on Radio 1’s Dance Anthems.

Can you guess who the mystery guest is??

Answers on an email to chloe@evolution99.co.uk with the subject “Timeless Mystery Guest”. One lucky winner will be rewarded with a bag of mystery guest prizes including some passes to future Frantic events!
