You are credited as being one of the founders of the UK’s dance music culture/acid house explosion of the late 1980s. Do you think this is a fair statement and who else would you say was also responsible?

After Ibiza you came back to London to recreate what you had experienced out there. For the younger audience out there that may not know the history, can you tell them a bit about the club night you started, Shoom ?

Ibiza has gone from an island of a handful of supremely talented DJs with open air clubs to the superstar DJS in closed in clubs with far too many restrictions the freedom has been greatly reduced in recent times sadly

I would do it all over again and much more right now with time travel if the opportunity was there

Do you feel there has been a best era for dance music, musically and as a scene?
1988 through the golden years of UK superclubbing to 2000 although its still rocking now!

In what ways do you think that the move from Vinyl to CD and digital formats has changed the whole clubbing industry, music and scene?
