On Saturday the 16th of September Halo Promo returns to The Cross for another night of musical mayhem and social debauchery. To celebrate this and to keep you completely up to date we have launched our brand new interactive flyer on our new MySpace page check it out at www.myspace.com/haloatthecross with MP3s / images and news from all things Halo its a great way to stay up to date with our parties at the cross.
But as you on DSI here is the breakdown of the night for you:
In the twisted funky room we kick off the night with a classic halo house set from award winning DJ Jason Sears. Following on from Jason we have Monkey Roberts who brings a fresh, up front funky vibe to the middle arch all accompanied by Tom Caris on electric lead guitar...just like the old days. Next up, the Red Eleven boys, James Jackson and Olli Collins take control of the decks and the dance floor. Expect the tempo to pick up a little as the guys bring their chunky, funky vibe to proceedings with another superb back to back session on the 16th. Following Red Eleven we welcome back Charlie Lang. His style ranges from the upfront funky vibe to a slightly dirtier house style which makes his set perfect for a late night slot. To cap the night off we have Jay Da Funk with two hour showcase of funky house, break beat and light electro. Jay’s versatility and inventive use of different styles makes his set the perfect end to the night!
The Deep Electro & Tech house room features a mixture of new faces and old favourites on the 16th. To kick off the night we welcome Aaron-I-Am and Dan Styles to the Cross for the first time. For those of you who are not familiar with their talents, the guys have played for us in Bournemouth a few times and are superb DJs. It’s about time we fully welcomed them to the fold and what better way to make an impression on our crowd than at the Cross. Following Aaron and Dan we welcome Chrisp-e back to the decks in the tech house room. Chrisp-e’s set at Halo meets Circo Loco was one of his best ever. His new deep tech style promises to bring a fresh underground feel to his sets at Halo and is a welcome addition to our musical line. Following on from Chrisp-e we have Monkey Roberts with another deep electronic set in the style that has already made him a respected name on the deep tech scene. To finish off the night Johnny Blanco’s back for another one of his monster sets. He’s another DJ making waves on the deep tech scene so if that’s your thing, make sure you catch his set.
The soulful room continues to go from strength to strength at Halo with many of our original crowd packing out the dance floor each and every time. First up we welcome Dub Plate Disco to the decks. Their eclectic style ranges from house, disco, soul and hip hop making them the perfect people to start the party off. Following them Loud minority, continue to host their residency in the soulful room with more house classics, rare groove and funk on offer this month. As always the final set belongs to Jason Sears as he pumps out more classic house music in his distinct smooth soulful sound. For those of you who enjoy this style there is no better way to finish off the night.
As always we are welcoming Concessions guestlists however we will be limiting this to the first 400 to arrive on the night due to huge demand so contact us via email and send through any names that you have and we will confirm with an email. The list closes at 1am but to qualify for reduced entry we always recommend getting there before 11pm.
