Ticket refund details,
Tickets for NYE
Due to problems with one of our ticket sellers selling more tickets than they were allowed to we regret that some of our ticket holders were unable to gain access to the party when we reached capacity.

We have now contacted all the online ticket sellers who now are able to process the refunds for these guests whos names were collected on the door.. (all guests who were not able to get in had their details taken on the door)

By tomorrow that list will have been sent to ticketweb, view london, dsi and alist.

We are very sorry that some people were unable to get in.

All the people who were unable to gain entry will also be contacted by us directly with a FREE gold card for a years free clubbing in London.

We are also arranging a free Space members party for all guests of the event, tickets will be sent out over the next few weeks.

well no one took my mates name as the bouncers told her just to come back...

And what about the people that brought a VIP ticket.. had to que and well JOHN ALIST where was the VIP room.. those of us that brought the VIP ticket wanted the VIP treatment and instead got treated like sardines..
So please tell me
A) what do the people do that brought a VIP ticket but had to a) still wait for ages, b) have no VIP room/treatment!

B) as i said my friend gave up and left after trying to get in but the bouncers where just plan rude and vile so she walked and noone asked her for her name!!!

C)Why was everyone allowed to stay for the after party once they were in, even if they brought the normal ticket.. not very fair for us VIP paying tickets!!!

Its a shame that a party full of the most amazing people can be runined by 130 people unable to get in due to a ticket seller. Systems are in place now for all ticket sellers to sort this out and details will go out to all guests re free parties. The Gold cards will also go to all the VIP ticket holders as we opened the after party to all after the door problems. The Gold cards will be in tbe form of Key Ring / Tag and will allow free entry to all events. (including Ibiza)
Details soon

there was no need for any of the staff to be rude, I am sorry for that, guess they were under pressure

Yes i agree , i PAID £30 extra for VIP treatment, had to queue for 3 hours missed NYE, had no VIP Lounge, no special queuing system, no afterparty treatment nothing! It is really unfair for this to end like this just for pure greed. I feel totally conned.
When i asked how we were gonnA to tell the difference between VIP and non Vip's I was told that everyone was a VIP! If that was the case then there should never have been VIP tickets on sale.
Been going to the Cross for 7 years and its a shame that my last night was ruined and will leave me with bad memories.
I hope something is sorted ASAP.

Me and my mates werent allowed in either despite buying the package arranged by Alist whom garanteed entry to the cross. Very poor manner by the door team also

Mr A-list, I got to the cross with my so-called VIP ticket at 12.30 to be rudely told 'no chance and come back at 4pm'. Nobody offered to take my name for a refund - and where were you? The promoter should have been outside apologising to the crowd. Anyway I went back at 5am, after paying another £20 to get in somewhere else... to find yet again another big queue. I was then told to get to the back of this queue, full of the afterparty ticket holders even though I had a VIP ticket and was not allowed in earlier. I eventually got in at 5.45am to find hardly any drinks behind the bar and massive queues for the toilet and cloakroom. By this time I had enough and left 30 mins later. Basically my night was ruined and I want a full refund for myself and my friend as we paid £55 each for the full party with VIP treatment. I got my ticket from Clubtickets, please tell me what I need to do to get my money back? Thanks

Me and my girlfriend we're amongst those stranded outside.
The bouncers and door staff seemed to be trying their best with the little information they had at the time, although they could have been more understanding.
However the attitude of the management stank!!! It was a case off, "It's not our fault, blame your promoter and go home, I'm going back inside to my club, HA HA HA HA!!!"
He did offer another place to the people outside, although he couldn't tell us where it was, how much it would cost to get in. Or what the music / Dj's were playing. (In other words TOKEN GESTURE)

Obviously I'm majorly disappointed to have missed out on the Cross's last hurrah ,especailly since it held such good memories for me.
Funnily this was the 1st time I've gone out on NYE in 3 years, since NYD in recent years has provided a much better experience, wish now I had stuck to that philosophy.

However if the promise of a refund and possible gold card compensation are correct then that would go someway 2 amending what was a VERY crap NYE in mine and my girlfriends case.
I was one of those who filled in their details, so I'll wait & HOPE that this promises are fullfilled.

I think they decided on the night to keep the party going, by spreading the love and letting everybody stay in the venue. Wether people had bought a standard or VIP ticket.
They thought it would be really disruptive to start closing off areas and only letting stay those who'd paid the extra.

It wasn't planned they were only trying to be nice.

Sometimes things don't go your way, other times it's all your way. That's life.

To be quite honest not that impressed with the key fob gold card thingy. If this event is how you run your others I wouldn't really want to go even if it was free.

I have been going to the cross for over 11 years and that was the worse attempt anyone has done for a new years eve or any other night.

You must admit that even without "the 130 people turned away) which I am sure is much higher, the cross was well over capacity and packed to dangerous levels!

I agree.. 45 mins to get a drink, 20 mins queue for the toilets! Far too busy! Still at least the promoters are countin the cash which is the main thing!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

What do you do if you were refused entry but didn't get your name taken down? Does anyone have details of who to contact at ticketweb? If you paid by credit card at least you can do a charge back as a last resort, which I suspect I'll end up doing.

I think that that is pretty harsh thing to say.. when people in good faith went and brought a VIP ticket to
ENSURE ENTRANCE / ENSURE A VIP ROOM / AND AFTER PARTY..

If every tom dick and harry had entrance to the afterparty why bother with VIP or was that just for us mucks to buy..

How would you like it if next year you turn up to Ibiza at bora bora and f*&K me a block of flats have been put up there.. and u knew nothing about it! i am sure you would'nt be saying THATS LIFE.. or would be happy if someone say o well thats life.. with no prewarning.. nothing..

AT The end of the day..
Not one person got asked there name on the door when they got refused entry and there was no difference in the VIP tickets to the standard ticket ones. the difference in amount should be refunded.. not asking for a full refund just the price of the extra VIP part which by the sounds of if was never going to be

Please can you inform us,
how one was going to tell who was VIP and who was not!
Where the VIP room was meant to have been!
And how where they going to deal with the change over to the after party!! only allowing VIPS in!!

All I'm saying is that Alist were trying to spread a little love at the last party.
It's a shame it come right back at them.
I'm not defending Alist, I just think its nice to hear both sides of the story.

if next year you turn up to Ibiza at bora bora
Bad analogy for me I really F**king hate 'Bora Bora' - the reason's in the name.

gotta say.... i paid 65 for a vip ticket (due to leaving it too late to get a normal ticket). It was pretty obvious that to get in without queueing you would need to get there early. Got there at 11 - went in the vip line - there was NO queue & got to the bar in about 10 mins, stocked up on drink and then found myself a nice spot right by the dj box. Had a WICKED night!!!!
If you leave it til 12 to get in then to be fair your asking for a queue.....
Oh and yeah i paid 20 quid more than my mate for a vip ticket but who gives a sh*t ......... was the last night at the the cross - woyuld have paid more if needs be :-)
