Having just been refused entry due to the venue being over sold how and when will we get our money back.

Would like to say more but to pissed off about what has happened. To be fair the door staff were polite but just as fed up as we were with having to turn people away. As a space and cross regular im gutted that we'v missed last one.

We were not the only ones being turned away but I suppose who really cares as long as the promoter gets their money...

General thread, invite loads of buds, ask them to click TMML if they want A-list to stop spamming them. Invite A-List in.

Or, you could post the thread in public chat for the event (as happened with this thread) meaning that he can't delete it...

anyway i have managed to get myself off the list (for now) but def do another thread and see what happens

Buy a ticket to A-Lists NYE 2008 event...and you get automatically removed.

I stuck the emails into spamcop.net and then looked at the listed ISP/email host/web host contact details and sent a few emails like this:

I an writing to you regarding the registrant of the domain xxx

This user, a xxx, has illegally added me to his promotional
mailing list and refuses to stop sending me emails.

Each time I write to him to politely (or otherwise) request that he
cease and desist, the amount of mails sent to me simply increases.

He is well known for consistently and persistently spamming, whilst
ignoring all refuse requests.

Could you please speak to this user and request that he either act
legally or risk having his domain terminated?

Should I receive any more emails of this variety from him, I shall
have no choice other than to pursue the matter legally.

I have already written to xx's Abuse department on several occasions
and have had no response whatsoever. (xxprovides the internet
connection through which he spams messages, asking users to send
replies to his xx domain.)

I can only assume that this must be against your Terms of Service or AUP.

Of course, he's probably sold his list elsewhere, so there'll be more lists to get off in future...
