Following their roadblock launch party at the Edinburgh Cellars at Easter, the Drop-1N team return for the first Bank Holiday of May with an extended license and some new faces for more simple, snobbery-free, shit-hot partying. Joining fellow residents Guy Hornsby and Stef-Jam is the final point of Drop-1N’s musical triumvirate, Danny Armstrong. And guesting on the night will be Jon Blond, a stalwart of the London circuit and all-round legend, bringing his own brand of wonky music to the proceedings. As was proven on the opening night, it’s not about out-of-touch superstar DJs, or chrome-filled impersonal dancefloors, but getting back to basic, good quality house and techno in an intimate venue. In 2008 pubs are the new clubs (so we say) so Drop-1N is for people that just want to chew the fat and throw some shapes. It kicks off again on Sunday 4th May at the Edinburgh Cellars, 125 Newington Green Road in Stoke Newington.
