Jaded 3rd Birthday Sunday 9th December AKA, 5.30am – midday On Sunday 9th December, Jaded celebrates 3 years of afterhours parties. The Jaded Birthdays are always big events, and this year our 3rd will be particularly rejoiced at... It marks Jaded’s arrival in our new home, AKA, and our rebirth onto the Sunday scene as a brighter, happier and altogether more vibrant alternative to the taxi ride home. It’s been 37 weeks since Jaded launched at The End, and during that time, we’ve recruited a new army of afterhours soldiers… The new Jaded troops are the same party starters and there’s still the authentic rock and roll atmosphere to be found, but our clubbers are more likely to be involved in the music industry, and there’s more of a heady atmosphere and fanatical following than ever before. Previous years’ revelry have included a pre-party on a 1940's Jaded green double-decker, a invasion of the B-Boys, dress ups, imaginary tennis, and surprise live sets from our special Jaded DJ friends. So what’s in store for our soldiers this year..? Raymundo Rodriguez, the DJ who never sleeps, will be dropping deep techy underground sounds with his trademark warmth. Red Robin (Trapez), joins us fresh from his residency at Berlin’s Bar 25 where he’s widely acknowledged to be one of the foremost afterhours DJs. His unique style of techno influenced by Brazilian percussion always has the Jaded crowd up in arms. We’ll also be joined by Zombies Ate My Brain, the energy of the 2 afterhours’ monthly union is something to behold and the work of Mssrs Watcha and Lee has gone to hearts of even the most jaded! As always, there’ll be a birthday dress-up, this year it’s ‘Geeks and Freaks’ (the return of the first dress-up we did for our Launch Party at The End…) There’ll be guerrilla makeovers for those who’ve come unprepared, (and touchs up for those who’ve been out all night). An appearance from the ‘Party Police’ Jaded’s killjoy twosome who’ll be trying to stop people dancing and handing out tickets to all those who look like they’re having too much fun. Our own Charlie will be hosting some geeky silliness on the Mezzanine - bring your notepad and a flask of weak lemon drink... There’ll also be a free secret after birthday bash for invited guests, look out for invites on the dancefloor. As we say at Jaded, Sleep is for the Week…
