Chew The Fat! @ The End, Friday the 13th, Rogue Element, Audiojack, Blende, Dub Pistols & more!! By missmax - Mon 18 Jun 2007 - 13 comments

CHEW THE FAT! @ THE END Friday 13th July THE ROGUE ELEMENT (Exceptional) AUDIOJACK (2020 Vision/Leftroom) BLENDE (Plasmapool/Lot49) PAUL TROUBLE ARNOLD (Fat!) KID BLUE (Fat!/Lot49) In the lounge: Fly Society present: DUB PISTOLS (DJ Set) JAMES HYMAN (Xfm) LEISURE ALL STARS (Leisure Recordings) THE FLY SOCIETY GET YOUR FAT! TICKETS HERE: http://www.thefatclub.trinitystreetdirect.com/ With Summer officially in full swing, Chew The Fat! keeps up the temperature with a cutting-edge line-up showcasing some of the hottest producers & DJs in the world right now. Nearing its tenth birthday, the night has always been synonymous with cutting edge music, and this next event is no exception. Leading the charge is the mighty Rogue Element. Since winning Best Producer at Breakspoll in February, Rogue has had another successful year that has seen his sound progress and mature to the point where he now has more in common with producers such as Mr Oizo and MSTRKRFT than your standard breaks fare. Expect a genre-blurring set that has rocked crowds from Toronto to Sydney in the past few months. Audiojack are the production duo that became overnight stars with the release of ‘Robot’ in 2006. It went on to sell over 10,000 copies and the boys quickly found themselves touring the globe. Remixes of Paul Woolford’s ‘Erotic Discourse’ and Vandal’s ‘Idiots’ have only confirmed their already impressive reputation. July also sees the launch of their label U.F.O. on which they will be releasing their own material alongside other artists, as they continue to build their reputation as one of the most consistent and successful electronic music acts breaking through the ranks today. Blende is the Swedish hotshot currently spoken of in hushed tones by ‘those who know’. He has produced one of the underground anthems of the year in his remix of Aaren San’s ‘Osc Low Nyzz’ and has just remixed the Klaxon’s ‘It’s Not Over Yet’ in his own unique rock-infused take on house and techno. With a new three single deal signed with Meat Katie’s Lot49 label, you’ll be hearing much more of Blende in future. See him at Chew The Fat! first. Paul Arnold and Kid Blue provide the support in the main room, while Fly Society once again host the lounge, with the Dub Pistol’s Barry Ashworth, Xfm’s James Hyman, Leisure All Stars and The Fly Society laying down the funk, hip hop and beats.
