Are you ready to rumble?! That’s right the summer starts off in style with a show down between Chew The Fat and the legendary Finger Lickin Records. The two breakbeat heavyweights slug it out for one night only in the capital’s coolest venue, bringing some of the best international and UK talent to the ring for a tag-team encounter that is sure to give any self-respecting beats lover sleepless nights of anticipation.

Aussie boy Hook N Sling makes his Fat debut tonight, part of his first UK tour after the release of his phenomenal ‘The Bump’ on Cr2. With remixes for Stanton Warriors and Subsource doing the damage, ‘The Bump’ set for re-release and due to pick up mainstream radio support, it’s no wonder people are dubbing him the new D Ramirez. Going head to head with him are Slyde - the funksters responsible for Finger Lickin classics such as ‘Slippedy Slide’ and ‘Vibrate To This’. A collaboration between Robin 12Tree and Jason Laidback, these are two party rocking DJs that never fail to get the crowd jumping.

Madox needs little introduction – the Italian stallion picked up nominations for Best DJ and Best Producer at this year’s Breakspoll awards, and records for Mantra Breaks (winner of Best Label). Now residing in the UK he’ll be unleashing his album ‘Urban Plastic’ in September this year. He takes on Fat’s very own Merka, the country bumpkin beat-meister with a penchant for badass basslines and spaceman suits.

Mickey Slim goes back to back with Brothers Bud, having turned in a stunning remix of their huge ‘Feel Like Dancing’ recently. House music’s fastest rising star has remixed Calvin Harris, while the Brothers are responsible for the biggest breaks track of the moment in ‘Yap Yap’. This set is going to take the roof off!

Ressies Paul Trouble Arnold and Kid Blue are joined by the first lady of Fat! Missmax, making her debut at the club tonight. In the lounge it’s an all star line-up as Eddie Temple Morris, the Beat Vandals and DJ Kestrel join the Nice Up boys. Let’s have it!
