Clandestino Bank Holiday special
Sunday 6th May 2007 @ The End & AKA

Konrad Black, Shonky, Miss Jools and more…

Clandestino is Sunday night clubbing with a difference – delicious house, techno and electro for a European crowd who like to dress up to get down. A party that looks as good it sounds and sounds as good as it looks. Clandestino clubbers don’t normally give a damn if they have to work on Monday, but with the May Day bank holiday, an extended opening time of 7am and an extra special line-up there is really no excuse not to put your gladrags on.

Clandestino has been setting the standards for end of the weekend clubbing since 2002, when Miss Jools and Luca Elle decided that they wanted to start their own little haven of music and decadence on the first Sunday of every month in the heart of London. Residents Miss Jools, Luca Elle and Kumarish are joined by cutting edge guests from across Europe and beyond.

For the May Bank holiday, two very special guests will be joining Miss Jools behind the decks – Wagon Repair’s Konrad Black and Freak n Chic’s Shonky.

Konrad Black should need no introduction for anyone who has so much as ventured out of the house in the last couple of years. The Candian born Berlin based producer has put out some of the most wickedly dark techno records of recent times. His fantastically evil sounding mix of Will Saul and Tam Cooper’s ‘Sequential Circus’ – complete with menacing keys and ominous laughter – was surely designed for 5am on a Sunday night dancefloor.

Parisian Shonky is definitely one to watch for 2007. His latest release on Freak n Chic - ‘Olympia EP’ – is three tracks of deep driving melodic techno topped with quirky, trippy bleeps, swooshes and clicks that really give his productions the edge.

Slip your shades on, perfect your pout, and relish the three day weekend - bank holidays were made for Clandestino…

The End & AKA– Sunday 6th May 2007 – Clandestino – 2300/0700 - £10 inc one complimentary drink / £7 concs / £7 Superfreq members – Fully licensed bar until close
A colourful and cosmopolitan crowd gather at AKA for a soundtrack of cutting edge house. Beautiful music for beautiful people at the most stylish party in clubland…
