AKA, The End’s rebellious little sister, reaches its 10th birthday on 31st July this year, and celebrates a decade in the business with an extravagantly themed party. This year, you’ll step off the hot July streets and into the cool, surreal and magical word of Narnia, with a ‘The Lion the Witch and the Wardrobe’ themed bash. Sip cocktails beneath the snow covered pine trees, take a dalliance with the dark side in the White Witch’s castle, before retreating to the safety of Aslan’s camp, complete with life sized lion!

This year, as it’s the tenth, we’ve pulled out all the stops, inviting back three of the acts who played the opening night a decade ago – Basement Jaxx (DJ set), Gilles Peterson and Fabio (playing an old school set). They will be joined by The Shapeshifters, Jimpster, Luke Solomon, Johnno (playing a Guilty Pleasures set), Luke Solomon, Chris Woodward, Rap Saunders & Dennis Christensen, Rob Summerhayes & Ali Tillett, Jim Wood, Johnny Sedin, Georgia Girl and Simon Lindley.

Come and raise a glass to one of London’s best loved venues, and don’t forget to dress up – guests are requested to wear something white or silver to fit in with the wintry Narnia theme. Happy birthday us!

OK......less than one week to go!!!!

Will not have been clubbing for 3 weeks by the time this comes around, and staying away this weekend to make sure this is really special!

I'm sooooo excited, keep looking at the invitation...it's soooo pretty, can't wait to see what it's going to look like in AKA....

No need to worry about that for me...I bought my dress two weeks ago!

It's vintage chiffon and lace and it's sooooo pretty! I've also got the shoe, the fur....I just need to accessorise now, and find a little handbag!

.....also got the make up in mind too!

Oh bollocks! I hate it when someone else turns up wearing the same thing!

Well, I said it first so you have to change your dress now!


Maybe it should be like the Oscars where you have to hand in your gown a week early so they can all be checked off so that no one turns up in the same dress!

Argh! I have a silver dress I could wear and a black and white one, but you're making me feel like I should make more of an effort!

Gawd, this is gonna be a fashion battle!! Just trying to figure what's the latest time I can leave without looking a state at work the next day... :(

3 hours sleep is good...no more no less..

Having said that when Trash was on and for The Players, I do find 3 hours the perfect number to be able to get through the next day.

It's all in the preparation...

get work clothes ready before you go out
stop drinking at 12/1...water and juice only from this point
after 2.30/3, if you walk past the coat room and it is not busy, get coat then
15 mins before you go, start saying 'after this track' so you are mentally ready
speak to Orvil for a car home...(don't even think about public transport if you have to work)
set alarm in the car on the way home
glass of water by bed
in bed by 4 wake up for 7...shower/cloths
get breakfast and juice on the way to work

work, clubbing and work all happily combined within 48 hours!

Indeed, really looking forward to this party!

Cant remember the last proper dress I went to...
