Music : All Music

After six successful years at the Hammersmith Palais, SchoolDisco, the legendary club night is moving to a new home. On February 17th it will start a new page in the history of SchoolDisco at the famed music venue, The Forum, in Kentish Town.
The Forum is one of London’s coolest music venues with an illustrious roll-call of music legends to its name including Prince, Oasis, Pulp and Franz Ferdinand and will now host the weekly SchoolDisco party which spins the best of Glam rock, Ska, Punk, Reggae, Pop Classics, R’n’B, and Hip Hop tunes. From Planet Rock and Renegades of Funk by Afrika Bambaataa, Police Officer by Smiley Culture and Funky President by James Brown to the very best of Blondie, The Jacksons and Queen.
Since launching in 1999, School Disco has attracted an international cult following and enjoyed six successful top-selling albums. In fact, it is amongst one of the UK’s longest running club nights!
Bobby Sanchez, DJ and founder of SchoolDisco sums it up:
"SchoolDisco is thrilled to be invited to The Forum. As one of the most iconic music venues in the country, it has the right space, and is in a great location. It's the perfect destination for the lovers of music’s best tunes that flock to SchoolDisco every week.”
To celebrate the move to the new home at The Forum, SchoolDisco will be holding a special launch party next month, with headline acts to be confirmed. So why not drop your inhibitions, dig out your old school tie and do what you never did back when you were at school? Watch this space: We Predict a Riot!
